Tips for Your Remote Field Sales Representative Job Search
Apply early to remote roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists remote field sales representative openings from across the U.S. in one place, so you can find roles that match your background and apply directly without sorting through mixed location listings elsewhere.
Show your remote sales process upfront
Remote employers want to know you can run a territory without supervision. Document your pipeline process, the CRM tools you use, and how you structure a remote sales day, then surface that in your resume and cover letter.
Prepare for asynchronous interview stages
Many remote field sales teams use recorded video interviews or async written assessments before a live call. Practice delivering a concise sales pitch on video and answering scenario questions in writing, since those formats are how remote teams evaluate self-direction.
Target companies with distributed sales organizations
Remote field sales roles concentrate at companies already running distributed teams, not firms trying remote for the first time. Look for organizations in SaaS, medical devices, and business services with multiple reps spread across the country rather than a single headquarters-based team.
Remote Field Sales Representative Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote field sales representative job?
Target companies with distributed sales teams, particularly in SaaS, medical devices, and business services, where remote field roles are most common. Remote employers screen heavily for self-direction, written communication, and CRM discipline since there's no in-office manager checking in. Demonstrating a consistent pipeline process, comfort with video selling, and experience closing deals asynchronously gives you a real edge over candidates who've only worked in traditional office settings.
Which companies hire remote field sales representatives?
Remote field sales representative roles are posted by U.S. LawShield, Cox Automotive, and Monogram Health and others right now, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Remote-first firms and companies with distributed sales organizations across technology, healthcare, and financial services tend to hire field sales representatives without geographic restrictions.
Can you get a remote field sales representative job with no experience?
Yes, but remote entry-level field sales roles are harder to land because employers expect you to self-manage from day one without close supervision. Your best entry paths are SaaS startups and smaller distributors that hire junior reps and train remotely. Show initiative through cold outreach practice, a documented mock sales process, or volunteer sales experience to compensate for a thin resume.
Do you need a degree for remote field sales representative jobs?
Not always. Many remote employers care more about verifiable sales results, product knowledge, and the ability to manage a territory independently than about formal credentials. A demonstrated history of hitting targets, strong references, and fluency with CRM tools often carries more weight than a degree, particularly at technology companies and startups that hire remote field sales representatives.
Which industries hire the most remote field sales representatives?
Most remote field sales representative openings sit in Insurance, Manufacturing, and Chemicals & Materials, per current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors rely on distributed sales teams to cover large geographic markets without requiring reps to be office-based.
