Tips for Your Remote Head Of Sales Job Search
Apply early to remote roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists remote head of sales openings from across the U.S. in one place. Search by role, find the openings that match your experience and target sector, and apply directly without sorting through unrelated postings.
Show your async leadership record clearly
Remote employers want evidence you can run a sales team without daily in-person check-ins. Call out specific examples of leading pipeline reviews over video, coaching reps through written feedback, and hitting targets with a fully distributed team.
Demonstrate command of remote sales tools
Remote head of sales candidates are expected to manage forecasting, coaching, and deal review inside tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong, or Clari without prompting. Name the platforms you use and what you used them to accomplish, not just that you know them.
Prepare for a fully remote interview process
Remote hiring panels for senior sales leadership roles often include a CRO or CEO interview, a written case study, and a virtual presentation. Practice delivering a 90-day sales plan on video with a clean background, reliable audio, and no technical delays.
Target companies built around distributed teams
Remote-first companies structure their entire sales organization for distributed work, which means fewer adjustment headaches and clearer expectations. Look for firms that list remote as their default working model rather than those treating it as a temporary exception.
Remote Head Of Sales Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote head of sales job?
Target remote-first companies and distributed sales teams, since they are built to onboard and manage senior sales leaders without an office. Remote employers screen for self-direction, clear written communication, and the ability to run pipeline reviews, coach reps, and close deals asynchronously. Demonstrating experience with CRM-driven forecasting, virtual team leadership, and structured sales processes gives you a clear edge over candidates with only in-office backgrounds.
Which companies hire remote head of saless?
Employers currently hiring remote head of saless include Stanley Black & Decker, Airwallex, and Ingersoll-Rand, per current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Remote-first SaaS companies, distributed fintech firms, and scaling professional services organizations are among the most consistent sources of remote head of sales openings.
Can you get a remote head of sales job with no experience?
Yes, but remote head of sales roles are senior by nature, so entry without direct leadership experience is challenging. Early-career candidates can target remote sales manager or team lead roles at early-stage startups, where scope is smaller and growth into a head of sales title is realistic. Showing a documented sales record, comfort with async communication tools, and the ability to work independently without oversight opens the door faster than titles alone.
Do you need a degree for remote head of sales jobs?
Not always. Remote employers hiring for this role weigh revenue results, pipeline management experience, and team leadership far more heavily than academic credentials. A strong record of hitting quota, scaling a sales function, or building repeatable processes carries more weight in most remote hiring conversations than a specific degree field.
Which industries hire the most remote head of saless?
The sectors hiring the most remote head of saless are Manufacturing, Technology & Software, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These industries rely on distributed sales teams operating across multiple time zones, making a remote head of sales a practical and common leadership structure.
