Tips for Your Remote Industrial Sales Manager Job Search
Apply early to remote roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists remote industrial sales manager openings from across the U.S. in one place. Check new postings regularly and apply directly to roles that match your industry background and management experience before they close.
Demonstrate async communication skills upfront
Remote industrial sales employers want managers who can direct reps, run pipeline reviews, and close deals without relying on in-person contact. Highlight specific tools you've used for async team communication, such as CRM activity logs, video updates, or written call coaching, in your resume and cover letter.
Document your remote pipeline management results
Employers hiring remote managers care about measurable outcomes you drove without an office. Quantify how you managed territory coverage, hit quota, or grew an account book while working independently, so hiring teams can assess your ability to perform without physical oversight.
Prepare for virtual sales simulations in interviews
Many remote industrial sales employers use virtual role-play scenarios or CRM walk-throughs during interviews to test how you'd coach a rep or handle an objection over video. Practice running a discovery call or deal review on camera before your first interview.
Map your industrial sector expertise to remote roles
Remote industrial sales manager openings often cluster in specific sectors such as automation, fluid handling, or safety equipment. Identify the two or three segments where your product and customer knowledge is deepest and focus your search there to match faster with roles that need your background.
Remote Industrial Sales Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote industrial sales manager job?
Target companies that already run distributed sales teams, since they have the infrastructure and culture to support remote managers from day one. Remote employers screen for self-direction, strong written communication, and the ability to manage pipelines and coach reps without in-person oversight. Candidates who can show a record of independent territory management or have led virtual sales team meetings consistently stand out in remote hiring.
Which companies hire remote industrial sales managers?
Remote industrial sales manager roles are posted by ABB, Siemens, and OnTrac and others right now, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. The employers most active in hiring include remote-first industrial distributors, manufacturing technology firms, and equipment suppliers that operate national or multi-region sales teams across distributed offices.
Can you get a remote industrial sales manager job with no experience?
Yes, but remote entry-level roles are harder to land because employers expect you to ramp up independently without on-site mentorship. Your best path in is through companies that sell industrial software or supplies with structured remote onboarding programs. Showing documented results from any sales role, even inside sales or account management, combined with clear examples of self-directed work, opens the door faster than a title alone.
Do you need a degree for remote industrial sales manager jobs?
Not always. Remote employers in industrial sales weigh demonstrated pipeline management, quota attainment, and product knowledge heavily alongside or instead of a degree. Candidates with hands-on industrial or technical backgrounds who can show they've managed accounts and directed sales activity remotely are competitive regardless of formal education. Some roles in highly technical sectors do list an engineering or business degree as preferred.
Which industries hire the most remote industrial sales managers?
The sectors hiring the most remote industrial sales managers are Manufacturing, Consulting & Professional Services, and Distribution & Wholesale, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These sectors rely on distributed sales teams covering large national territories, which makes remote management a practical fit rather than an exception.
