About The Team
The SMB New Verticals Channel Partnerships team manages DoorDash’s strategic POS and integration partner ecosystem across emerging business lines, including Alcohol, Convenience, Retail, and future New Verticals categories. The team sits at the intersection of partner management, sales, product, operations, technical integrations, and merchant success. This team is responsible for growing DoorDash’s integrated merchant footprint across SMB New Verticals by building strong provider partnerships that align partner and DoorDash roadmaps and unlock scalable merchant growth.
About The Role
As a Senior Strategic Partner Manager, you will own the full lifecycle of a portfolio of strategic POS and middleware integration partners. You will act as the business owner for your partners, driving partner strategy, launch readiness, operational quality, growth, and executive alignment. You will manage 4-6 high-priority integration/channel partners and work closely with Sales, Implementation, Integration Onboarding, TAM, Product, Product Partnerships, Catalog, and GM teams. You will lead partner meetings, build quarterly plans, diagnose performance issues, manage escalations, and turn ambiguous partner problems into clear action plans. This role is ideal for someone who can operate in a fast-moving, highly cross-functional environment, use data to identify risks and opportunities, and build trust with external partners while holding teams accountable internally. You will report to a leader on the SMB New Verticals Channel Partnerships team. This role is remote, with travel as needed for partner meetings, QBRs, team offsites, and training.

- Build quarterly partner plans and OKRs tied to GOV growth, active store count, cancellation rate, catalog quality, onboarding performance, and SSIO adoption.
- Diagnose partner performance issues using data, partner feedback, merchant escalations, and internal dashboards.
- Own pilot-to-GA readiness for new integrations, including success criteria, launch playbooks, enablement, support paths, and risk mitigation.
- Shape product roadmap and go-to-market strategies based on merchant feedback.
- Serve as the liaison between our partners and DoorDash leadership, product, legal, operations, and logistics teams.
- Help partners expand across verticals such as Alcohol, Convenience, Retail, and emerging categories.
- Develop scalable playbooks, decision trees, one-pagers, and training materials for internal teams.
- Build trust with external partners by setting clear expectations, communicating transparently, and following through.

Tips for Your Remote Partner Manager Job Search
Apply early to remote roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists remote partner manager openings from across the U.S. in one place, so you can find roles that match your background and apply directly without sorting through unrelated listings. Early applicants get more attention when remote pipelines move fast.
Show async communication in your application
Remote partner manager employers screen for written clarity before the first call. Make your cover letter and any work samples demonstrate that you can move a partner relationship forward through email, Slack, or a shared doc alone, not just in person.
Document your remote partner pipeline results
Quantify what you drove: partner revenue sourced, deals co-sold, onboarding time cut. Remote hiring managers can't see you work, so concrete numbers from past partner programs are the main signal they use to judge whether you can operate independently.
Target remote-first companies in your sector
Remote-first SaaS companies, cloud platforms, and distributed technology firms run partner programs entirely online and already have the tools and culture for remote partner managers. Focusing your search on these employers means fewer hybrid surprises after you accept.
Prepare for asynchronous remote interviews
Many remote employers include a written exercise or async video screen before a live call. Practice explaining a partner strategy or a past program result in writing, clearly and without back-and-forth, so you're ready when that format comes up.
Remote Partner Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote partner manager job?
Target remote-first companies and distributed-team employers in SaaS, cloud infrastructure, and professional services, where partner programs run entirely online. Remote employers screen hard for self-direction, async written communication, and the ability to manage partner relationships without in-person touchpoints. Candidates who can show CRM fluency, documented partner pipeline results, and a history of driving outcomes independently consistently stand out for remote roles.
Which companies hire remote partner managers?
Remote partner manager roles are posted by Kinaxis, ETAP Software, and Human Interest and others right now, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Remote-first software companies, distributed channel-sales organizations, and technology platforms with global partner ecosystems are the most consistent sources of remote openings in this role.
Can you get a remote partner manager job with no experience?
Yes, but remote entry-level partner manager roles are harder to land because employers expect you to manage partner relationships and hit pipeline targets with minimal supervision from day one. Smaller remote-first SaaS companies and startups with early-stage partner programs are the most likely to hire entry-level candidates. Showing async communication skills, any cross-functional coordination work, and familiarity with CRM or partner management tools opens the door.
Do you need a degree for remote partner manager jobs?
Not always. Many remote employers weigh demonstrated results in partner development, channel sales, or business development more heavily than a specific degree. What matters most is your ability to build and manage external relationships, communicate clearly in writing, and move partners through a pipeline, all skills you can show through prior work, freelance projects, or a documented side program.
Which industries hire the most remote partner managers?
The sectors hiring the most remote partner managers are Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Manufacturing, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These sectors rely on distributed channel and alliance programs that are built to run across geographies, which makes remote partner manager roles a natural fit for how they operate.
