Tips for Your Remote Pre Sales Consultant Job Search
Record and share demo samples async
Remote pre sales roles depend on your ability to communicate product value without a live audience. Record polished product walkthrough videos and keep them ready to share during applications. Remote hiring managers want proof you can run a compelling async demo independently.
Apply early to remote roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists remote pre sales consultant openings from across the U.S. in one place, so you can find roles that match your experience and apply directly without sifting through mixed listings. Early applicants move faster through distributed-team hiring pipelines.
Highlight async communication in your materials
Remote pre sales teams rely on Slack, Loom, and written follow-ups to advance deals. Show specifically how you've used async tools to support prospects, document technical requirements, or keep stakeholders aligned across time zones.
Prepare for remote technical screenings
Remote pre sales interviews almost always include a live or recorded demo exercise. Practice running full discovery-to-demo sequences over video conference, handling objections in real time, and presenting to a panel you can't read in person.
Target remote-first companies specifically
Remote-first software and cloud firms build their entire sales motion around distributed teams, so pre sales consultants integrate faster and get more structured remote onboarding. Look for companies that list remote-first or distributed-first in their job descriptions and company values.
Remote Pre Sales Consultant Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote pre sales consultant job?
Target companies with distributed sales teams, particularly in SaaS, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise software, since those sectors hire pre sales consultants remotely most consistently. Remote employers screen heavily for self-direction, clear async written communication, and the ability to run discovery calls and technical demos without in-person support. A portfolio of past wins, recorded demo samples, or documented proof-of-concept results gives you a concrete edge over candidates with equivalent experience.
Which companies hire remote pre sales consultants?
Employers currently hiring remote pre sales consultants include Samsara, Samsara, and Fivetran, per current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Remote-first software companies, distributed enterprise tech teams, and cloud platform vendors make up the largest share of these openings, hiring pre sales consultants to support sales cycles entirely through digital channels.
Can you get a remote pre sales consultant job with no experience?
Yes, but remote entry-level pre sales roles are harder to land because you must operate independently from day one without in-office coaching. Early-stage SaaS startups and smaller technology vendors are the most likely to hire entry-level candidates remotely. A strong technical foundation, a demonstrated ability to explain complex products clearly in writing, and any freelance or project-based pre sales work you can show will open doors.
Do you need a degree for remote pre sales consultant jobs?
Not always. Remote employers weight hands-on technical knowledge, proven ability to run product demos, and a history of supporting successful sales cycles more heavily than a specific degree. Certifications in relevant platforms or technologies, combined with documented results from past pre sales engagements, can substitute effectively for a four-year degree in most remote hiring decisions.
Which industries hire the most remote pre sales consultants?
The sectors hiring the most remote pre sales consultants are Technology & Software, Manufacturing, and Electronics & Hardware, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These sectors rely on distributed sales teams that need pre sales consultants working remotely to support complex, multi-stakeholder deals across geographies without requiring physical presence.
