The Role
The Pricing Analyst maximizes company profitability by building competitive, compliant pricing based on data analysis, market trends, and service delivery costs. You'll work with Procurement, Operations, Finance, and Leadership to make sure every price is accurate, defensible, and backed by data.
This role is built for someone who already knows security or service-industry pricing in a government contracting environment and needs little to no training.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM Central Time.
Fully remote; must live in Texas.
What You'll Do
- Receive and interpret requests for quotations, solicitations, contracts, and other formats, and translate them into pricing models
- Build and manage pricing requests, proposals, discounts, and commercial offers
- Develop labor-based pricing, including wage rates, fringe benefits, burdens, overhead, and profit
- Provide pricing support to Procurement and Business Development, and communicate rate structures clearly and confidently to stakeholders
- Troubleshoot pricing discrepancies using rate rules and logical analysis
- Update and maintain pricing and cost data and assumptions, including market research and competitor comparisons
- Track pricing performance and identify opportunities to improve margins and win rates
- Coordinate with other departments to validate pricing information
- Make sure pricing practices follow company policy, business guidelines, and contract requirements
- Handle confidential pricing and cost data with discretion
What You Bring
Required — Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field (or 4 additional years of directly related experience in place of a degree)
- 3+ years of pricing, costing, or financial analysis experience
- Experience in the security industry or a service-based industry (e.g., security, janitorial, facilities, staffing, or other labor-driven services)
- Government contracting (GovCon) pricing experience, including pricing submitted on federal RFQs/RFPs
Required — GovCon Pricing Skills
- Building fully burdened hourly bill rates from the ground up: base wage, fringe, health & welfare, payroll taxes (FICA, FUTA, SUTA), workers' compensation, insurance, overhead, G&A, and profit
- Pricing to Service Contract Act (SCA) wage determinations, including locating the correct wage determination on SAM.gov
- Pricing base and option years, including wage escalation
- Pricing labor covered by a collective bargaining agreement (CBA)
- Working knowledge of the FAR as it applies to pricing (e.g., price reasonableness, price realism, lowest-price-technically-acceptable vs. best-value awards)
- Reading a solicitation's pricing instructions and price schedule (CLINs) and completing it accurately
Required — Tools & Skills
- Advanced Excel: complex formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and multi-scenario pricing models
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn data into clear, defensible recommendations
- Excellent attention to detail — pricing errors cost contracts
- Highly collaborative, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with little to no training
- Ability to handle confidential pricing and cost data with discretion
- Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet, private home workspace
- Must reside in Texas
- Must pass a pre-employment background check

- Security services pricing specifically (armed/unarmed officer posts, supervisory coverage, post hours)
- GSA Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) pricing experience
- Price-to-win and competitor pricing analysis
- Experience with pricing or market-intelligence tools (e.g., GovWin, HigherGov, ProPricer)
- NCMA certification (CFCM or CPCM)
