Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Primary Care Physician to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews to determine health status and needs.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions utilizing evidence-based practices, including acute pain management, infectious disease care, geriatrics, pediatrics, and family medicine.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations using medical imaging, laboratory tests, and EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks to inform treatment plans.
- Administer treatments such as suturing, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin treatments, injections, IV infusions, and wound care procedures following aseptic techniques.
- Coordinate with specialists for procedures like cardiac catheterization, spinal taps, ventilator management, dialysis access, or PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) support when necessary.
- Document patient encounters accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and coding standards including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-10 (International Classification of Diseases), and ICD-9 coding systems.
- Engage in clinical research or clinical trials to advance medical knowledge and improve patient outcomes; participate in data collection and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide health coaching, education on disease prevention, medication management, discharge planning, and follow-up care to ensure optimal patient recovery and well-being.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with valid licensure to practice medicine.
- Proven experience in primary care settings with hospital experience preferred; familiarity with hospital medicine or outpatient clinics is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner; strong data management skills for accurate documentation and reporting.
- Demonstrated competence in procedures including suturing, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin treatment, phlebotomy, spinal taps, and other outpatient interventions.
- Critical care experience or ICU background is advantageous; experience with ventilator management or Level I/II trauma center exposure is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical coding (CPT, ICD-10/ICD-9), physical examinations, diagnostic evaluation techniques, and anatomy knowledge essential for accurate assessments.
- Ability to handle triage effectively in urgent care or emergency medicine scenarios; familiarity with telehealth platforms is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams while maintaining patient confidentiality per HIPAA standards.
