JOB SUMMARY – PROJECT ACCOUNTANT
The Project Accountant is a critical component of the accounting team handling day-to-day responsibilities to ensure accurate and timely financial information is available and supports the achievement of CenterPoint Integrated Solutions’ goals and objectives. We are seeking an individual that is organized, detail-oriented and possesses a broad knowledge of accounting principles and procedures with a focus in project and job cost accounting. Strong communication and organizational skills are a must!
Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain project budgets and job cost structures
- Track and code project costs for accurate job costing and budget reporting
- Prepare and process owner pay applications and monitor billing schedules
- Review subcontractor and vendor invoices for proper cost coding
- Record customer payments and assist in accounts receivable collections
- Monitor project budgets and communicate variances to project managers
- Support ongoing development of processes and procedures to promote effective operations
- Complete relevant account reconciliations and support month-end close
- Maintain accounting reports and spreadsheets
- Track change orders and ensure they are reflected in project budgets and billings
- Assist in project setup, including contract review and budget entry
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications Required
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience; construction, real estate, or other project-based experience is a plus
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Procore knowledge is a plus
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent Excel and Microsoft 365 Office suite knowledge required
- Maintain confidentiality
- Excellent data entry management

WHAT WE OFFER
Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000 Based on experience
