We have an exciting opportunity to join our Government & Industry Affairs team in the United States and are currently looking for 2 x Regional Leads to join the team.
Reporting into the VP of Government Relations, this role translates VGW's lobbying strategy into targeted, state-specific lobbying campaigns managing a roster of external contract lobbyists, developing relationships with state government officials, and delivering actionable field intelligence back to central leadership.

The salary range for this role is USD $160,000 - $210,000 per year.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Serve as the primary accountability manager for all external lobbyists within the assigned regional portfolio: set performance expectations, respond to their queries in a timely manner, review deliverables, conduct weekly check-ins, and provide written performance assessments.
- Translate the company's corporate policy positions and lobbying strategy into state-specific advocacy messaging - tailoring arguments, framing, and messenger selection to local political dynamics.

- Monitor and track all active and emerging legislation across assigned states that affects social gaming, sweepstakes operations, consumer protection, age verification, advertising and related policy areas.
What you will bring to the role:
- 7-12+ years of experience in state government, state-level lobbying, legislative affairs, or political campaigns, with direct exposure to multiple state legislatures or regulatory agencies in B2C organisations.
- Demonstrated experience managing external vendors, consultants or contract lobbyists against defined deliverables and performance standards.
- Working knowledge of gaming regulation, sweepstakes law, consumer protection, or adjacent policy areas - or a credible track record of rapidly building substantive expertise in new regulatory sectors.
- Strong political credibility and established relationships with key government officials in the assigned regional portfolio.
- Experience in a multi-state lobbying role in organisations in fast-moving industries such as technology, fintech, RMG and/or gaming.
- Proficiency with legislative tracking tools.

Tips for Your Remote Regional Lead Job Search
Apply early to remote roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists remote regional lead openings from across the U.S. in one place. Search by role and apply directly to the openings that match your background before postings close. Remote roles fill fast when competition is national.
Make your async communication skills visible
Remote regional lead employers screen for written clarity before any interview. Use your resume bullet points and cover letter to show how you've directed teams, reported results, or resolved issues through written channels, not just in-person meetings.
Document remote territory wins concretely
Employers hiring regional leads remotely want proof you've hit goals without daily supervision. Frame past roles around outcomes you owned independently: territory growth, pipeline health, or team performance metrics you drove while working across multiple sites or time zones.
Prepare for tool-specific remote interviews
Remote regional lead interviews often include questions about how you use project management and communication tools like Slack, Asana, or Salesforce to coordinate distributed teams. Know which tools your target employers use and be ready to describe your specific workflow with each.
Remote Regional Lead Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote regional lead job?
Target remote-first companies and distributed organizations that already operate across multiple markets, since they're structured to support regional leads working off-site. Remote employers screen heavily for self-direction, async written communication, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams without in-person oversight. Demonstrating experience managing distributed reports, hitting territory goals independently, and communicating clearly in writing gives candidates a strong edge.
Which companies hire remote regional leads?
Remote regional lead roles are posted by VGW, Betr, and Revolution Medicines and others right now, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These tend to be remote-first firms, multi-market consumer brands, and distributed SaaS or services companies that operate across regions without requiring on-site leadership.
Can you get a remote regional lead job with no experience?
Yes, but remote regional lead roles with no experience are harder to land because employers expect early independent execution with little day-to-day oversight. Your best entry paths are smaller remote-first companies or high-growth startups that prioritize results over tenure. Show concrete evidence of project ownership, cross-functional coordination, or territory management in any setting, and make your written communication skills visible throughout the application process.
Do you need a degree for remote regional lead jobs?
Not always. Remote employers hiring regional leads typically weigh demonstrated results, territory or team management experience, and strong communication skills more heavily than a specific degree. A consistent record of hitting regional goals, leading distributed collaborators, and operating independently often carries more weight than academic credentials, particularly at remote-first companies and growth-stage organizations.
Which industries hire the most remote regional leads?
The sectors hiring the most remote regional leads are Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals, Technology & Software, and Electronics & Hardware, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These industries rely on distributed teams operating across broad geographies, making remote regional leadership a natural fit for how their businesses are structured.
