Job Description:
Intrinsic is looking for a Technical Solutions Engineer & Account Manager to perform hands-on engineering responsible for turning customer needs and product objectives into working technical solutions. This role combines strong engineering execution with product ownership, customer engagement, and business development support. The engineer is expected to understand the mission/problem space, develop and demonstrate solutions, and build trusted technical relationships with customers.
As a team member, you will:
- Design, prototype, integrate, and deliver software and systems that solve customer and product needs.
- Translate customer problems into technical requirements, prioritize engineering work, and drive capabilities from concept through demonstration and delivery.
- Own technical outcomes, make sound architecture and implementation decisions, and ensure solutions are maintainable, scalable, and aligned with product direction.
- Work directly with customers and technical stakeholders to understand requirements, communicate technical approaches, demonstrate capabilities, and incorporate feedback.
- Grow and manage client relationships while contributing technically to an Agile scrum team
- Support technical discussions, demos, whitepapers, proposals, solution development, and identification of follow-on opportunities.
- Execution: Be a builder, not just an advisor, who can independently take ambiguous problems and turn them into functioning technical solutions.
- Rapidly grow your skills with the latest technology
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance
- 3+ years of professional software engineering or systems engineering experience.
- Demonstrated ability to design, develop, integrate, and deliver production-quality technical solutions.
- Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Python, C++, C#, Java, Go, or TypeScript.
- Experience working across the software development lifecycle, including requirements, architecture/design, implementation, integration, testing, and deployment.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
Preferred qualifications:
- Active DoD Top Secret SCI Clearance
- 5+ years of professional software, systems, or product engineering experience.
- Experience leading technical efforts from concept and prototyping through integration, demonstration, and delivery.
- Experience serving as a Product Owner, Product Integrator (PI), technical lead, or similar customer-facing technical role.
- Demonstrated ability to understand customer mission needs and translate them into technical solutions and product capabilities.
- Experience working directly with customers to define requirements, conduct technical demonstrations, and incorporate feedback.
- Experience supporting business development, including technical proposals, whitepapers, solution development, customer presentations, or technical capture.
- Experience with modern software architectures, cloud platforms, DevSecOps, APIs, distributed systems, or AI/ML technologies.
- Experience developing prototypes or MVPs in ambiguous, rapidly evolving environments.
- Experience with DoD, federal government, defense, aerospace, modeling & simulation, or mission systems.
