Job Summary
The Research Analyst 2 position provides research help for medical or academic scholars. This position will lead at least one project. The analyst will collect and examine data, create reports, graphics, maps, and plan presentations. They will also handle new staff training and education. The role may involve conducting assessments and developing data collection or maintaining databases. This position requires proven project management skills. The analyst must work autonomously or as part of a team. The role requires understanding medical, scientific, statistical, or business terminology. The analyst must make causal and conceptual links to related topics.
Essential Functions of the Role
- Serve as head research analyst on at least one research project.
- Designs and drives initiatives to maintain the software's clinical relevance and accuracy. Designs and drives routine audits and reviews to ensure research data accuracy.
- May create innovative design approaches and maintain standardized data collection forms. Use various system application software and web-based software as required by specific projects.
- May establish collective relationships with various Research Sponsors, Primary Investigators and Baylor Scott & White.
- Health personnel to fulfill research and quality requirements, complete grant applications and manuscript submissions.
- May conduct searches of medical, business and academic databases for scholarly articles and information and summarizes results of searches.
- May acquire and distribute information in various print and electronic formats. This helps specific healthcare research or quality improvement projects.
- May complete standardized forms, applications and/or documents using various system application software and web-based software.
- May provide writing and editorial help for grant submissions and research publications. May produce and update charts, graphs, or tables using Excel, PowerPoint, and other software.
- Manages multiple daily, weekly and monthly tasks, adhering to deadlines and maintaining sufficient flexibility to accommodate assignments.
