Respiratory Therapist Jobs in Miami: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a respiratory therapist job in Miami?
Target Miami's dense hospital corridor anchored by the Health District and Jackson Memorial complex, then expand outward to Coral Gables, Kendall, and Doral, where large health systems and long-term acute care facilities hire regularly. Candidates with NICU or critical care experience stand out locally. Bilingual Spanish proficiency is a genuine edge in Miami's patient population and frequently listed as preferred in postings.
Which companies hire respiratory therapists in Miami?
Miami respiratory therapist roles are posted by Baptist Health South Florida, HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, and University of Miami and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Miami's hiring mix includes large academic medical centers, community hospitals, home health agencies, and long-term acute care facilities serving its large and medically complex patient base.
Are there remote respiratory therapist jobs in Miami?
Yes, but only for a narrow slice of the role, since respiratory therapy is almost entirely hands-on and bedside by nature. About 0% of respiratory therapist openings tied to Miami are remote or hybrid as of July 2026. The positions most likely to carry a remote or hybrid component are telehealth coordination, clinical education, and utilization review roles tied to Miami-based health systems.
How can I get a respiratory therapist job in Miami with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Miami is securing a clinical rotation or new-graduate position at one of the Health District's teaching hospitals, where structured onboarding programs exist specifically for CRT or newly credentialed RRT candidates. Skilled nursing facilities and home health agencies in Hialeah and Homestead tend to be more open to recent graduates than large acute care centers. Completing an ACLS certification before applying adds a concrete edge in competitive postings.
Which industries hire the most respiratory therapists in Miami?
The sectors hiring the most respiratory therapists in Miami are Healthcare & Medical Services and Education, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Miami's large retirement-age population, high rates of chronic respiratory conditions, and concentration of academic medical centers and specialty hospitals drive consistent demand across those sectors year-round.
