Childress Solutions provides low-voltage infrastructure and electronic security solutions for data centers and commercial facilities. Our work includes structured cabling, fiber, CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and other mission-critical systems.

We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager to lead safety activities across our active project sites. This field-focused role works closely with employees, subcontractors, project managers, general contractors, and clients to maintain safe, compliant, and productive jobsites.

Responsibilities

• Implement company policies, site-specific safety plans, and client requirements.
• Conduct jobsite inspections, safety audits, and field observations.
• Identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are completed promptly.
• Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and recurring training.
• Prepare and review JHAs, JSAs, pre-task plans, and incident reports.
• Monitor compliance with fall protection, ladder and aerial-lift use, electrical safety, lockout/tagout, PPE, material handling, and housekeeping requirements.
• Verify employee training, certifications, and site credentials.
• Coordinate safety activities with project teams, clients, general contractors, and subcontractors.
• Investigate incidents, injuries, near misses, and property damage.
• Maintain accurate inspection, training, corrective-action, and incident records.
• Monitor subcontractor safety performance and address noncompliance.
• Exercise stop-work authority when serious or imminent hazards exist.
• Track safety trends and provide recommendations to company leadership.
• Promote a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Five or more years of construction safety experience, preferably in commercial construction, data centers, electrical, telecommunications, structured cabling, or low-voltage work.
• Two or more years in a safety leadership or site safety management role.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards and common jobsite hazards.
• Experience with safety inspections, employee training, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
• Ability to develop and review safety plans, JHAs/JSAs, pre-task plans, and reports.
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic reporting systems.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel between regional sites.
• Ability to pass project-specific background checks and secure-facility access requirements.
• Ability to walk and inspect active construction sites with ladders, lifts, overhead pathways, and uneven surfaces.

Preferred Qualifications

• CHST, CSP, ASP, OSHA 510, or OSHA 500 certification.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
• Data center or mission-critical construction experience.
• Experience with low-voltage, electrical, fiber, CCTV, access control, or structured-cabling installations.
• Knowledge of fall protection, aerial-lift safety, NFPA 70E principles, and lockout/tagout procedures.
• OSHA recordkeeping and safety-performance reporting experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
