Sales Account Manager Jobs in Philadelphia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a sales account manager job in Philadelphia?
Philadelphia's strongest hiring for sales account managers comes from its health systems, life sciences companies, technology firms, and financial services employers clustered in Center City and the surrounding business districts. Candidates who demonstrate familiarity with B2B cycles in those sectors stand out. Networking through local industry associations and targeting employers in the Navy Yard and Radnor technology corridor also give applicants a practical edge in this market.
Which companies hire sales account managers in Philadelphia?
Employers hiring sales account managers in Philadelphia right now include GeneDx, Pregis, and Comcast, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Philadelphia's mix of large health systems, regional insurance carriers, and mid-market technology firms means openings range from enterprise accounts to smaller territory-based roles across the metro area.
Are there remote sales account manager jobs in Philadelphia?
Yes, though availability depends on the role, since account management positions tied to local client relationships or in-person demos tend to require on-site presence. About 57% of sales account manager openings tied to Philadelphia are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with technology and software-as-a-service employers offering the most flexibility for Philadelphia-based candidates working distributed accounts.
How can I get a sales account manager job in Philadelphia with little or no experience?
The most direct entry path in Philadelphia is landing a sales development representative or inside sales role at one of the city's technology or healthcare services companies, which regularly hire and promote from within. Philadelphia-area employers in life sciences distribution and business process outsourcing also offer structured entry-level programs. Demonstrating quota attainment in any sales context, even retail or campus work, strengthens a first application considerably.
Which industries hire the most sales account managers in Philadelphia?
