What will you be doing?
This hybrid role based in Cincinnati, OH will consult with the client's merchandising teams on the competitive marketplace, customer dynamics, and macro trends. The position provides the opportunity to join a high performing team using data, analytics, and insights to shape growth strategies and solve key business challenges. We’re looking for candidates with experience in market research, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or retail, and a strong interest in analyzing data to uncover actionable insights. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, clear storytelling, and the ability to communicate insights effectively to drive impact and identify commercial revenue opportunities for Circana.
Job Responsibilities
- Drive Client Growth: Identify and pursue opportunities to expand client relationships by aligning Circana’s data and solutions with their strategic goals.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with internal teams (e.g., Client Insights, Product, and Analytics) to deliver integrated solutions and ensure client success.
- Maintain Industry Expertise: Stay current on trends in [retail, CPG, or general merchandise] to position Circana as a thought leader and trusted advisor.
- Build Strategic Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across client organizations, including decision-makers and influencers.
- Utilize Sales Tools and Platforms: Leverage Circana’s proprietary platforms (e.g., Unify+, Liquid Data, Intelligence Suite) to support client engagements and solution delivery.
- Achieve Revenue Targets: Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals through disciplined pipeline management and strategic account planning.
- Champion Client Success: Ensure client satisfaction by proactively addressing challenges, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering consistent value.
- Advanced Analytic Skills: Demonstrated ability to conceive, manage, and deliver fact-based analyses, with a focus on consumer solutions, providing clients with clear, actionable insights to inform strategy.
Requirements
- 5-6 years of experience with syndicated data, analytics, eCommerce, category management, or related fields is required.
- Ability to Manage Key Stakeholder Groups: Ability to establish good relationships and credibility with different stakeholder groups (internal and client stakeholders) to be viewed as a highly credible and trusted advisor.
- Client-Focused: Proven track record of interacting with clients, understanding their needs, and delivering solutions that meet or exceed their expectations.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Circana data assets: Marketing and/or sales analytics experience with a CPG company, Retailer, or other CPG industry companies using syndicated data. Familiarity with Circana data assets and the creation of reporting content in Unify is preferred.
- Technology and AI Enthusiast: Willingness to embrace new technologies and a passion for leveraging innovative solutions to drive business value.
- Strong Problem-Solving Skillset: Proven ability to leverage data in innovative ways to best solve client problems, including cause/effect analysis and a high degree of innate curiosity required.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Location: This position can be located in the following area(s): Cincinnati, OH. Hybrid in the client's office. Flexible schedule.
The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $75,000.00 to $105,000.00 USD.
This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
