Sales Consultant Jobs in Boston: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a sales consultant job in Boston?
Target Boston's strongest hiring sectors: enterprise software, medtech, financial services, and professional services firms clustered in the Seaport District and Back Bay. Familiarity with consultative or solution selling gives you an edge here, since Boston employers tend to favor candidates who can navigate longer, relationship-driven sales cycles. Networking through local industry associations and Boston-area chambers accelerates introductions to hiring managers at companies that rarely post publicly.
Which companies hire sales consultants in Boston?
Companies currently hiring sales consultants in Boston include EF (Education First), Fiserv, and MassMutual, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Boston's employer mix leans toward growth-stage technology companies, established financial institutions, and regional healthcare organizations, all of which maintain active sales teams in the city.
Are there remote sales consultant jobs in Boston?
Yes, though availability depends on the role type: field and enterprise sales consultant positions typically require in-person client work, while inside sales and account management roles are more frequently remote. About 100% of sales consultant openings tied to Boston are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, with hybrid arrangements most common among technology and financial services employers in the Seaport District and Back Bay.
How can I get a sales consultant job in Boston with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Boston is through sales development representative or business development representative roles, which many Seaport-based technology and SaaS companies use as a direct pipeline into full sales consultant positions. Boston's medtech and professional services sectors also hire entry-level account coordinators who transition into consulting roles within one to two years. Familiarity with CRM tools and a demonstrated interest in a specific Boston industry, such as life sciences or fintech, consistently strengthens early applications.
