Sales Executive Jobs in Richmond: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a sales executive job in Richmond?
Focus your search on Richmond's strongest hiring sectors: financial services firms clustered downtown, healthcare and health-tech companies anchored along the West End and the medical corridor near VCU Health, and business services firms in Short Pump and Innsbrook. Candidates who demonstrate territory management experience in mid-Atlantic markets and familiarity with Richmond's relationship-driven business culture consistently stand out over those with generic national sales backgrounds.
Which companies hire sales executives in Richmond?
Richmond sales executive roles are posted by Siemens, CVS Health, and R+L Carriers and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Richmond's employer mix is notably diverse, ranging from regional financial institutions and insurance carriers downtown to fast-growing health-tech and SaaS companies in the West End and Innsbrook corporate park.
Are there remote sales executive jobs in Richmond?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the role type since territory-based and enterprise field sales positions typically require in-person client work. About 50% of sales executive openings tied to Richmond are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, and the remote-eligible share tends to cluster in inside sales, SaaS account executive, and national account management roles posted by Richmond-area tech and business services employers.
How can I get a sales executive job in Richmond with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Richmond is starting in a sales development representative or account coordinator role with one of the region's financial services firms, healthcare technology companies, or Innsbrook-based business services employers, many of which run structured onboarding programs. Building familiarity with mid-Atlantic client bases and earning an industry-relevant certification, such as a NASD securities license for finance roles, strengthens a Richmond candidacy considerably over a generic resume.
Which industries hire the most sales executives in Richmond?
Most sales executive openings in Richmond sit in Distribution & Wholesale, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Richmond's role as a regional headquarters hub for financial and insurance firms, combined with growing health-tech and professional services activity in the West End and Innsbrook corridor, consistently drives the highest concentrations of local sales executive demand.
