Position Overview
The primary job function of the Customer Support Representative (CSR) is to increase revenues in the Parts, Service and Rental Departments by supporting our customers with best in class customer service. CSR’s will align with both Darr and 54 equipment/solution sales reps to “own” the customer. It is the responsibility of equipment sales to acquire new accounts and sell equipment solutions and services. It is the responsibility of the CSR to ensure we are delivering quality so that the customer has no reason to look elsewhere for any of their material handling needs. The CSR must maintain a strong, healthy relationship with equipment sales and operations to be successful. Motto: Add Techs & Rent Trucks. By selling PM’s and second segment service we are able to add technicians which increases service and parts revenue, by renting trucks, we are able to meet more equipment needs, populate our markets with more of our brands and increase rental revenue.
Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:
- Post sale and teamwork with Equipment sales reps:
- B2B sale of PM Service Agreements, Repair Maintenance, Parts and Rental
- Account Planning and Strategy
- Territory and account management
- Work with sales to push more TM&R sales
- Execution of new equipment/warranty delivery reports
- Retention of Existing Accounts:
- Customer service support for existing customer base to include quote preparation as required, proposals and strategies
- Scheduled monthly/quarterly follow up meetings with top 30%
- Promotion and sale of short-term rental equipment.
- Lead generation on new and used equipment and Warehouse Solutions
- Sell Operator Training classes
Minimum Education, Skills, and Professionalism
- High School diploma required.
- Team player
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent customer service abilities with a strong desire to satisfy and the ability to show empathy to customers even in difficult situations.
- Able to manage ones own time and the time of others with little supervision.
- Proven history of conflict resolution.
- Positive Attitude.
- High level of computer literacy with Excel spreadsheets, database software and/or business systems.
- Ability to communicate in English (orally and in writing). Diplomacy skills to deal effectively and professionally with obstacles that arise when contacting visitors, customers, outside vendors and company contacts.
- Must be reliable, trustworthy, and an advocate for Darr Equipment at all times.
- Must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
Working Conditions
This job is performed out of an automobile. Access to customers’ job sites and equipment are sometimes located on extremely rough terrain. Constant travel averaging 200 miles a day can be tiring. The job requires climbing and crawling on and around heavy equipment. The incumbent must possess adequate eyesight to read and write interoffice communications as well as customer information. Speaking and hearing are required to communicate by phone and in person
