Sales Representative Jobs in Indianapolis: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a sales representative job in Indianapolis?
Focus your search on Indianapolis's strongest hiring sectors: medical devices and healthcare technology along the North Meridian corridor, logistics and supply chain services near the I-465 distribution belt, and B2B software companies clustered downtown and in the Keystone district. Candidates who can show a history of quota attainment, strong phone and in-person prospecting skills, and familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools stand out most with local employers.
Which companies hire sales representatives in Indianapolis?
Companies currently hiring sales representatives in Indianapolis include Cintas, Bone Dry Roofing, and ADT, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Indianapolis's mix of large healthcare systems, regional distribution hubs, and growing SaaS companies means openings range from field territory roles to inside sales positions at tech-forward firms.
Are there remote sales representative jobs in Indianapolis?
Yes, though availability depends on the type of role: inside sales and account management positions are far more remote-friendly than territory field roles, which typically require in-person client visits. About 36% of sales representative openings tied to Indianapolis are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with the strongest remote concentration in SaaS and business services accounts. Field-based medical device and industrial sales roles in Indianapolis almost always require in-person presence.
How can I get a sales representative job in Indianapolis with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Indianapolis is through inside sales or sales development representative roles at the city's mid-size SaaS, insurance, and staffing companies, many of which run structured onboarding programs for new hires. Employers along the North Meridian healthcare corridor and Downtown tech firms regularly hire candidates from retail, hospitality, and customer service backgrounds for entry-level pipelines. Completing a short CRM certification and being able to demonstrate cold outreach or quota results from any context, even informal, meaningfully improves your chances locally.
Which industries hire the most sales representatives in Indianapolis?
Indianapolis sales representative roles concentrate in Construction & Real Estate, Insurance, and Manufacturing, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Indianapolis's position as a major healthcare and logistics hub, combined with a growing downtown tech sector, drives consistent demand for sales professionals who can serve both enterprise and regional mid-market clients.
