Salesforce Engineer Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a salesforce engineer in New York?
There is no New York state license required to work as a salesforce engineer, so the path centers on earning Salesforce platform credentials and building hands-on project experience. Most New York employers expect at least one current Salesforce certification, with the Salesforce Certified Administrator and Platform Developer I exams being the most common entry points. A degree in computer science or information systems strengthens your candidacy, though a strong certification portfolio and demonstrable project work can open doors without a four-year degree.
How much do salesforce engineers make in New York?
Salesforce engineers in New York earn a median of about $137,480 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $78,690 for the lowest 10% to over $218,680 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire salesforce engineers in New York?
Employers hiring salesforce engineers in New York right now include The Trade Desk, Ramp, and Affirm, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. New York's concentration of financial services firms, large consulting practices, and enterprise media companies makes it one of the deepest Salesforce hiring markets on the East Coast.
Which New York cities have the most salesforce engineer jobs?
New York and Albany have the most salesforce engineer openings in New York. New York City dominates the distribution because of its dense concentration of financial institutions, consulting firms, and enterprise headquarters that run large Salesforce orgs, while openings in Westchester and Long Island typically trace back to regional offices and healthcare systems anchored in those suburbs.
Are there remote salesforce engineer jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most technical fields. Salesforce engineering is largely desk-based and platform-agnostic, which makes it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 67% of salesforce engineer openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how widely distributed Salesforce teams have become since the shift to cloud-first enterprise tooling. Configuration, development, and integration work are the sub-functions most commonly offered remotely.
How can I get hired as a salesforce engineer in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is earning the Salesforce Certified Administrator credential and targeting associate administrator or junior developer roles at New York-based consulting firms and system integrators, which run structured onboarding programs for early-career hires. Large consulting practices in New York such as Deloitte and Accenture recruit analysts from adjacent roles like business analyst, CRM support specialist, or data analyst and provide internal Salesforce training. Building a portfolio on Trailhead and completing a Superbadge or two significantly strengthens applications for candidates without professional Salesforce experience.
Where can I find and apply to salesforce engineer jobs in New York?
