SAP Consultant Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sap consultant in New York?
Most sap consultants in New York enter the field through a technology or business degree followed by hands-on SAP training, either through an employer-sponsored program or an SAP-authorized training partner. New York has no state-issued license for this role, so employers focus on SAP certifications and module-specific project experience. Landing a junior role at a consulting firm with a New York delivery center, such as a Big Four or mid-market systems integrator, is the most direct path into the profession.
How much do SAP consultants make in New York?
SAP consultants in New York earn a median of about $116,990 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $59,740 for the lowest 10% to over $203,040 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire sap consultants in New York?
Employers hiring sap consultants in New York right now include Logic, EY, and PwC, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. New York's concentration of large financial institutions, media conglomerates, and global professional services firms creates consistent demand for both staff and project-based sap consultant roles year-round.
Which New York cities have the most sap consultant jobs?
The most sap consultant openings in New York are concentrated in New York and Woodbury. New York City dominates because it is home to the U.S. headquarters of major banks, insurers, and media companies that run enterprise SAP environments, while suburban hubs like White Plains attract openings tied to the regional offices of large consulting and manufacturing firms operating just outside the city.
Are there remote sap consultant jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields. SAP consulting is largely analytical and system-based, which makes it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 71% of sap consultant openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the project-driven nature of the work. Roles focused on configuration, functional design, and testing tend to be the most remote-friendly, while go-live support and client-site implementation work typically requires an on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a sap consultant in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a consulting firm's analyst or associate program, several of which, including those run by the Big Four firms with large New York offices, recruit directly from university and accept candidates without prior SAP project experience, then train them on the job. Candidates with adjacent backgrounds in finance, supply chain, or HR systems have an advantage because SAP modules map closely to those domains. Completing an SAP certification in a high-demand module like FICO or SuccessFactors before applying significantly improves your standing against other entry-level applicants.
Where can I find and apply to sap consultant jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to sap consultant jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across New York City, White Plains, and other locations throughout the state. Search the listings, find roles that match your experience and specialization, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
