- Check the operating condition of the bus before starting each trip and ensure the vehicle is in safe working order.
- Report any operational defects or mechanical issues immediately to a supervisor.
- Inform students of proper safety practices and ensure all safety procedures are followed.
- Maintain orderly conduct of students while on the bus.
- Keep the interior and exterior of the vehicle clean and neat.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, routes, time, and incidents.
- Prepare and maintain maps of routes and pick-up/drop-off points.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, coaches, administrators, and transportation supervisors.
- May be required to operate a sport utility vehicle or other similar vehicle as needed.
- May be required to perform minor maintenance tasks on the vehicle.
