Search Analyst Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a search analyst in New York?
Most search analyst roles in New York are accessible with a bachelor's degree in marketing, data analytics, communications, or a related field, and there is no state-issued license required for the role. New York employers, particularly those in digital advertising and financial services, place heavy weight on platform certifications such as Google Ads and Analytics credentials. Building a portfolio demonstrating real campaign analysis or SEO audits gives candidates a concrete edge in the competitive New York City market.
Which companies hire search analysts in New York?
Employers hiring search analysts in New York right now include Squarespace, Cohere, and HealixGlobal, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's dense concentration of media companies, financial institutions, and e-commerce brands means demand comes from a broad range of industries rather than a single sector.
Which New York cities have the most search analyst jobs?
New York and New York City have the most search analyst openings in New York. New York City dominates due to its headquarters-heavy mix of advertising agencies, media conglomerates, and financial firms, while demand in Albany reflects state government digital initiatives and any smaller markets in the list are typically anchored by regional healthcare systems or university-affiliated marketing teams.
Are there remote search analyst jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 71% of search analyst openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the desk-based and data-driven nature of the work. Paid search management and SEO reporting roles are the most consistently remote, while positions requiring close collaboration with in-house creative or sales teams are more likely to ask for at least a few days on-site.
How can I get hired as a search analyst in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a junior paid search or digital marketing coordinator role at a New York agency, where structured training on platforms like Google Ads is built into the first months on the job. Large New York employers including media holding companies and e-commerce retailers run associate analyst programs designed for recent graduates with analytical coursework but limited campaign experience. Earning a Google Ads or Analytics certification before applying signals baseline competence and helps candidates move past automated screening at high-volume New York employers.
Where can I find and apply to search analyst jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to search analyst jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring in the state right now. Find roles that fit your experience and location, then apply directly to each one.
