Epic Applications Analyst Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a epic applications analyst in New York?
Most epic applications analysts in New York enter through a combination of a bachelor's degree in health informatics, information systems, or a clinical discipline and hands-on Epic certification earned through an employer or an Epic-authorized training program. New York does not issue a state license specific to this role, so hiring decisions turn on Epic module certifications and relevant build experience. Large New York health systems often hire candidates from adjacent roles such as clinical informatics coordinator, IT support analyst, or registered nurse with IT exposure.
How much do epic applications analysts make in New York?
Epic applications analysts in New York earn a median of about $109,610 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $67,220 for the lowest 10% to over $171,360 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire epic applications analysts in New York?
Employers hiring epic applications analysts in New York right now include Northwell Health, Akraya, and White Plains Hospital, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's dense concentration of academic medical centers and integrated health systems means openings appear consistently across a wide range of employer sizes, from large systems like Northwell Health and NewYork-Presbyterian to regional community hospitals and consulting firms supporting New York implementations.
Which New York cities have the most epic applications analyst jobs?
The cities with the most epic applications analyst openings in New York are Melville, White Plains, and Yonkers. New York City dominates because of its scale and the number of large health systems headquartered there, while Albany and Rochester generate steady demand from academic medical centers, state-affiliated health organizations, and regional systems that run substantial Epic environments requiring ongoing analyst support.
Are there remote epic applications analyst jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than many clinical roles, because much of the work involves system configuration, testing, and user support that can be done off-site. About 9% of epic applications analyst openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the analytical and desk-based nature of the role. Build, testing, and training workstreams are the most frequently offered remotely, though go-live activations and stakeholder meetings often require on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a epic applications analyst in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a lateral move from a clinical or IT-adjacent role within a New York health system, where internal candidates can access Epic training before moving into a dedicated analyst position. Northwell Health, NewYork-Presbyterian, and Montefiore Health System all run informatics fellowship or associate analyst programs that accept candidates without direct Epic experience. Earning an Epic certification through an employer-sponsored training program and building a portfolio of workflow documentation or testing scripts strengthens a new candidate's profile significantly.
Where can I find and apply to epic applications analyst jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to epic applications analyst jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across New York employers. Search the available roles, find the ones that fit your module experience and location preferences, and apply directly to the positions that match.
