- Experience supporting go-live activations, upgrades, or post-live optimization projects

Tips for Your Epic Applications Analyst Job Search
Tailor your resume to Epic modules
List the specific Epic modules you've built, tested, or supported by name. Recruiters and hiring managers search for Beaker, OpTime, Cadence, or Willow, so burying them in a generic 'EHR experience' line costs you callbacks you would otherwise get.
Get your Epic certification documented
Certifications from Epic's own training program carry real weight with hiring teams. If you've completed certification on a module, name it explicitly on your resume with the module and version so it clears automated screening before a recruiter ever reads your file.
Filter openings by module, not just job title
Search using module names alongside the job title because many postings lead with the module rather than the analyst title. Searching 'Willow analyst' or 'OpTime build' surfaces roles you'd miss searching the title alone.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists epic applications analyst openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Prepare a build portfolio for interviews
Interviewers at health systems routinely ask you to walk through a workflow you built or troubleshot. Have two or three concrete examples ready that describe the clinical problem, what you configured, and how you validated the outcome before go-live.
Negotiate using module demand, not just tenure
Certain modules are harder to staff than others at any given time. Going into an offer conversation knowing where your module sits on a health system's current implementation roadmap gives you a concrete basis to discuss compensation beyond years of experience.
Epic Applications Analyst Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies are hiring the most epic applications analysts?
The companies hiring the most epic applications analysts right now include Memorial Hermann Health System, Northwell Health, and Rush University Medical Center, with the largest share of openings in Texas, Massachusetts, and New York, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Large health systems and regional hospital networks consistently account for the bulk of openings year-round.
How many epic applications analyst jobs are remote?
About 49% of epic applications analyst openings are fully remote or hybrid as of June 2026, making it one of the more flexible roles in health IT. Post-live support, reporting, and optimization work tends to be the most remote-eligible, while go-live activations and initial build phases typically require on-site presence at the client health system.
How do you become an epic applications analyst?
Start by building a foundation in health informatics, clinical operations, or IT through a relevant degree or work experience in a healthcare setting. Gain hands-on exposure to Epic by working in a health system or through an implementation consulting firm, then pursue Epic certification in a specific module. Demonstrating knowledge of clinical workflows alongside technical build skills is what separates candidates who get hired.
Can you get an epic applications analyst job with little or no experience?
Yes, entry points exist for candidates with limited direct Epic experience. Health systems running large implementations hire associate or junior analyst roles that pair new staff with senior builders. Having a clinical background as a nurse, pharmacist, or lab tech is a common bridge into module-specific roles like Willow or Beaker, since workflow knowledge offsets limited configuration experience.
What does the epic applications analyst interview process look like?
The process typically opens with a recruiter screen focused on module experience and certifications, followed by a technical panel with IT leadership where you walk through a workflow you built or a problem you resolved. Many health systems add a scenario round that tests how you approach a clinical staff complaint or a build discrepancy, and final rounds often involve the informatics or clinical operations team.
Where can I find and apply to epic applications analyst jobs?
You can find and apply to epic applications analyst jobs on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from health systems and implementation firms across the United States. Find roles that match your module experience and location preferences, then apply directly to each listing from the same page.
