Security Compliance Analyst Jobs in Louisiana: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a security compliance analyst in Louisiana?
Start with a bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information systems, or computer science, as Louisiana employers consistently require a four-year foundation. Louisiana does not issue a state-specific license for this role, so earning a nationally recognized credential such as CISA, CISSP, or CompTIA Security+ is the most direct path to standing out. Many candidates move into compliance from IT auditing or network security roles within Louisiana's energy, healthcare, or government contracting sectors.
How much do security compliance analysts make in Louisiana?
Security compliance analysts in Louisiana earn a median of about $92,990 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $66,660 for the lowest 10% to over $139,190 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire security compliance analysts in Louisiana?
Employers hiring security compliance analysts in Louisiana right now include Tulane University, PROGRESSIVE TRACTOR & IMPLEMENT, and Ampirical, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Louisiana's blend of energy utilities, large hospital systems, and federal defense contractors makes it a steady market for compliance professionals with both private-sector and government-facing experience.
Which Louisiana cities have the most security compliance analyst jobs?
The cities with the most security compliance analyst openings in Louisiana are New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Covington. New Orleans drives volume through its concentration of financial institutions, large healthcare systems, and technology firms, while Baton Rouge adds demand from state government agencies, petrochemical companies, and Louisiana State University-affiliated organizations that maintain dedicated compliance and information security functions.
Are there remote security compliance analyst jobs in Louisiana?
Yes, and more than most fields, because security compliance work is largely documentation-driven and conducted through digital tools rather than on-site equipment. About 30% of security compliance analyst openings tied to Louisiana are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly the role has shifted to distributed teams. Policy review, audit coordination, and GRC platform work are the functions most commonly offered on a fully remote basis.
How can I get hired as a security compliance analyst in Louisiana with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving laterally from an IT support, audit associate, or network operations role into a junior compliance position, since Louisiana employers in healthcare and energy regularly promote from within. Ochsner Health and Entergy both run structured rotational and associate programs where candidates with CompTIA Security+ or an entry-level ISACA credential can join compliance teams without prior analyst titles. Building a portfolio that includes a sample risk assessment or a gap analysis against NIST CSF demonstrates hands-on capability that offsets a short resume.
Where can I find and apply to security compliance analyst jobs in Louisiana?
You can find and apply to security compliance analyst jobs in Louisiana on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your background and target location, and apply directly to each listing that fits.
