Senior Customer Marketing Manager Jobs in Maine: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a senior customer marketing manager in Maine?
Maine does not require a state-issued license or credential to work as a senior customer marketing manager. The typical path starts with a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or communications, followed by several years in customer-facing or lifecycle marketing roles. Maine employers tend to promote from within or hire candidates who have grown through brand, CRM, or retention functions at consumer-facing companies, particularly in retail, healthcare, and financial services.
How much do senior customer marketing managers make in Maine?
Senior customer marketing managers in Maine earn a median of about $135,380 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $92,710 for the lowest 10% to over $232,310 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire senior customer marketing managers in Maine?
Employers hiring senior customer marketing managers in Maine right now include Northern Light Health, IDEXX Laboratories, and University of Maine, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Maine's strongest hiring comes from consumer brands, regional health systems, and financial services firms with established customer bases and loyalty programs.
Which Maine cities have the most senior customer marketing manager jobs?
Portland, Bangor, and Westbrook account for the most senior customer marketing manager openings in Maine. Portland drives the bulk of listings as the state's commercial hub, home to regional headquarters in retail, insurance, and healthcare, while Augusta and Bangor draw roles from state government-adjacent organizations and anchor regional employers with large customer bases.
Are there remote senior customer marketing manager jobs in Maine?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 55% of senior customer marketing manager openings tied to Maine are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the largely desk-based and digital nature of customer marketing work. Strategy, lifecycle management, and CRM program roles are the most likely to be offered on a fully remote or flexible basis.
How can I get hired as a senior customer marketing manager in Maine with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a marketing coordinator or CRM analyst role at a Maine retail, healthcare, or financial services employer, then building toward customer-focused ownership over two to three years. Companies like Hannaford and Unum offer structured marketing career tracks that move candidates from execution into program ownership. A portfolio demonstrating email campaigns, segmentation work, or loyalty initiative results gives candidates without a formal senior title a strong edge in Maine interviews.
