Mid Level Senior Litigation Counsel Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level senior litigation counsel job?
Position yourself around ownership, not just participation. Highlight matters you managed independently, motions you drafted without heavy revision, and clients you handled directly. Employers at this level want proof you can run a case file, not just support one. Tailor your resume to show scope and result, and pursue roles where the job description emphasizes independent judgment over supervision.
Which companies hire mid level senior litigation counsels?
Companies hiring mid level senior litigation counsels right now include Travelers, Aramark, and Celanese, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a mix of large corporations building out in-house litigation functions and law firms seeking associates ready to take on greater responsibility without constant partner direction.
Are there remote mid level senior litigation counsel jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by employer and practice area. About 20% of mid level senior litigation counsel openings are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with in-house roles at larger companies more likely to offer flexibility than law firm positions, which often require regular court and client appearances.
How do I move up to a mid level senior litigation counsel role?
The path from entry level to mid level is built on demonstrated ownership over time. Focus on taking full responsibility for discrete matters, developing a consistent record of independent drafting and analysis, and showing measurable results on cases you led. Attorneys who earn deeper client trust, mentor newer colleagues, and show strategic thinking rather than task execution are the ones who advance into mid level roles.
