Entry Level Senior Property Accountant Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level senior property accountant job?
Employers hiring at the entry level look for candidates with accounting coursework, familiarity with property management software like Yardi or MRI, and exposure to CAM reconciliations or lease accounting through internships or coursework. A degree in accounting or finance gives you a strong foundation, and any hands-on experience with commercial or residential property portfolios, even from a part-time role, meaningfully strengthens your application at this stage.
Which companies hire entry level senior property accountants?
Companies hiring entry level senior property accountants right now include Jobot, Newmark, and DLP Capital, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Real estate investment trusts, property management firms, and commercial real estate developers are among the most active employers hiring candidates at this level.
Are there remote entry level senior property accountant jobs?
Yes, though on-site roles are still common at this level. About 20% of entry level senior property accountant openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, so candidates who prefer schedule flexibility do have real options to consider. Hybrid arrangements are especially common at larger property management companies and REITs.
Are these new grad senior property accountant jobs?
Yes, the listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior roles that explicitly welcome candidates with little or no professional experience. A new grad posting typically accepts zero to two years of experience and often counts internships, co-ops, or a strong academic portfolio in lieu of full-time history, making them well suited to candidates stepping into their first accounting role in the real estate sector.
Which industries hire the most entry level senior property accountants?
Entry Level senior property accountant roles concentrate in Staffing & Recruiting, Consulting & Professional Services, and Construction & Real Estate, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors maintain large property portfolios that require dedicated accounting staff, which drives consistent demand for entry level candidates who can support lease administration, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
