Fresh Air Home Services is hiring Field Service Technicians across the Austin area. If you’ve turned wrenches, run ductwork, done installs, or worked any hands-on trade, and you’d rather be in attics and on ladders than behind a desk, this job is built for you.
You’ll run your own appointments from start to finish. You inspect the property's air ducts, dryer vents, and chimney, show the homeowner what you found, recommend the right service, and then do the cleaning yourself, on the same visit. No handing jobs off, no waiting on another crew. You find it, you fix it, and you earn commission on every job you sell and complete.
No cold calling. No door knocking. Our customer service team books your schedule for you: 3–5 pre-set appointments a day with homeowners who already asked us to come out. Your job is to show up, inspect, explain what you found, and do the work.
You don’t need sales experience. Every customer you meet already called us. If you can explain a clogged dryer vent or a dirty duct system in plain words, you can do this. We’ll train you on how to walk customers through your findings and close the job, step by step.
What You’ll Do
- Inspect air duct systems, dryer vents, and chimneys, including attics, crawlspaces, and rooftops
- Spot real problems: fire hazards, blocked airflow, and air quality issues
- Show homeowners what you found with photos and plain explanations, and recommend the right fix
- Perform air duct, dryer vent, and chimney cleaning using professional equipment
- Take before-and-after photos and log your work in our job software
- Run 3–5 pre-booked appointments a day out of your company van
What We’re Looking For
- Mechanically inclined and good with tools
- Comfortable with physical work: ladders, attics, tight spaces, and Texas heat
- HVAC, installation, or other trade experience is a big plus
- Sales or customer-facing experience is helpful but not required
- Coachable, reliable, and takes pride in quality work
- Professional, respectful attitude in customers’ homes
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
