Solution Manager Jobs in Chicago: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a solution manager job in Chicago?
The strongest path is targeting Chicago's dense enterprise technology and financial services sectors, where solution managers are hired to bridge technical teams and business clients. Firms in the Loop and River North hire most consistently. Candidates who can demonstrate experience managing complex client engagements, coordinating cross-functional delivery, or working with enterprise software platforms have a clear edge in Chicago's market.
Which companies hire solution managers in Chicago?
Companies currently hiring solution managers in Chicago include Grant Thornton, Salesforce, and Deloitte, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Chicago's hiring base skews toward large enterprises, consulting firms, and technology companies with significant Midwest operations.
Are there remote solution manager jobs in Chicago?
Yes, though availability depends on the role. Solution manager positions tied to on-site client delivery or hardware implementation are typically in-person, while strategy, account management, and analytics-heavy roles tend to be remote-friendly. About 51% of solution manager openings tied to Chicago are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with the most flexible options concentrated in software and consulting.
How can I get a solution manager job in Chicago with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Chicago is through a supporting role at a consulting firm, technology company, or large enterprise in the Loop or West Loop, such as a business analyst, project coordinator, or technical support specialist. These positions expose you to solution delivery workflows and client-facing work. Chicago's concentration of professional services firms means internal promotion into solution management is a common and well-worn route.
