Summary of Responsibilities
- Advances enrollment strategy, operational efficiency, and data-informed decisions across the student lifecycle, from recruitment and admission through registration, financial aid, and retention. Uses existing university data sources, blended with external market research or data as applicable, and follows UVU data management and governance procedures.
- Coordinates with BIRS leadership in the collection, aggregation, and analysis of data from multiple internal and external sources to drive insights into institutional performance. Produces actionable reports, dashboards, and visualizations that show key metrics related to, identify areas of improvement into current operations, and display root cause analysis of problems.
- Provide reporting solutions and respond to ad-hoc report requests across multiple business areas. Participate in the design and development of business intelligence reporting tools used by Student Affairs.
- Trains and mentors junior analysts on data analysis techniques, data visualization tools, and best practices for data management and governance. Stay up-to-date on emerging trends and best practices in data analysis, data management, data visualization, and storytelling with data.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, or a related discipline, plus a minimum of two years of directly related experience; OR any combination of education and related experience totaling 6 years.

- OR an associate's degree from an accredited institution in a related field and four years of directly related experience.
