Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding STEM OPT Authorization as an ERP Analyst
Confirm your degree maps to STEM OPT
ERP Analyst roles typically require degrees in computer science, information systems, or industrial engineering. Cross-check your degree's CIP code against the DHS STEM Designated Degree Program List before applying, so you don't pursue roles at employers who won't extend you.
Verify E-Verify enrollment before accepting offers
Your employer must be enrolled in E-Verify to sponsor a STEM OPT extension. Search the E-Verify employer search tool by company name before your final interview round, not after you've already received an offer.
Target ERP vendors and implementation partners
SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Dynamics consultancies file substantial volumes of OPT-eligible roles and routinely manage I-983 training plans. Implementation partners often have dedicated onboarding processes for STEM OPT students that in-house IT teams at non-tech companies lack.
Build your I-983 training plan around ERP competencies
Your I-983 must list specific learning objectives tied to your STEM degree. For ERP Analyst roles, frame objectives around systems integration, data modeling, or business process analysis rather than generic IT support, which strengthens the academic correlation USCIS expects.
Check prevailing wage requirements for your ERP specialty
ERP Analyst wages vary significantly by module specialty, SAP versus Oracle versus Workday, and by region. Use the OFLC Wage Search to confirm the prevailing wage for your specific SOC code before evaluating an offer, so you can assess whether it meets DOL standards.
Use Migrate Mate to find E-Verify verified employers
Filtering job postings by E-Verify status manually is time-consuming. Migrate Mate surfaces ERP Analyst roles at employers already confirmed in E-Verify, so you spend your time applying to roles where your STEM OPT extension is actually viable.

Find ERP Analyst JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does my STEM degree qualify me for the 24-month STEM OPT extension as an ERP Analyst?
It depends on your specific degree, not just your job title. Your degree's CIP code must appear on the DHS STEM Designated Degree Program List. Degrees in computer science, information systems, management information systems, and industrial engineering typically qualify. Your DSO verifies eligibility and recommends the extension through SEVIS before you file Form I-765 with USCIS.
What E-Verify requirements apply to my employer for STEM OPT?
Your employer must be enrolled in E-Verify and must remain enrolled for the full duration of your STEM OPT extension. They also need an E-Verify company ID number to complete the I-983 training plan. If your employer is acquired or restructures during your extension, E-Verify enrollment status must be re-confirmed with your DSO, since a lapse in enrollment can terminate your authorization.
What goes into an I-983 training plan for an ERP Analyst role?
The I-983 must describe how your ERP Analyst duties directly connect to your STEM degree. You'll need to document specific learning objectives, the supervision structure, how your employer will evaluate your progress, and how the work relates to your field of study. Generic job descriptions don't satisfy USCIS expectations. Your supervisor signs the form, and you and your DSO must also sign before submission.
How does cap-gap protection apply if I'm on STEM OPT and my H-1B is selected?
If your STEM OPT expires between April 1 and September 30 after your H-1B petition is filed and selected in the lottery, cap-gap automatically extends your OPT EAD and status until October 1. You can continue working as an ERP Analyst during this period without a new EAD card, as long as your employer maintains E-Verify enrollment and your I-983 remains active.
Where can I find ERP Analyst jobs at employers set up for STEM OPT students?
Migrate Mate lists ERP Analyst roles filtered by E-Verify enrollment status, so you can identify employers already structured to support STEM OPT extensions before you apply. This is especially useful for ERP roles at consultancies and enterprise software vendors, where onboarding timelines and I-983 processes are more predictable than at smaller companies.
