Strategic Finance Analyst Jobs in Arkansas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a strategic finance analyst in Arkansas?
A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics is the standard entry point for strategic finance analyst roles in Arkansas. No state-issued license is required for the role itself, but many Arkansas employers, particularly in Little Rock's banking and healthcare sectors, strongly prefer or require a CPA issued through the Arkansas State Board of Public Accountancy or a CFA credential. Gaining experience in FP&A, budgeting, or corporate accounting at an Arkansas-based company is the most reliable path to a full strategic finance role.
How much do strategic finance analysts make in Arkansas?
Strategic finance analysts in Arkansas earn a median of about $81,110 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $48,850 for the lowest 10% to over $137,210 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire strategic finance analysts in Arkansas?
Arkansas strategic finance analyst roles are posted by Walmart, Sam's Club, and CVS Health and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Northwest Arkansas's concentration of retail, logistics, and supplier firms makes it particularly active for strategic finance hiring alongside the healthcare and insurance employers anchored in Little Rock.
Which Arkansas cities have the most strategic finance analyst jobs?
Bentonville, Little Rock, and Arkansas have the most strategic finance analyst openings in Arkansas right now. Little Rock's density of state government agencies, healthcare systems, and financial institutions drives most of the demand there, while Bentonville and Fayetteville benefit from Walmart's global headquarters and the large ecosystem of consumer goods companies and suppliers that have established regional offices across Northwest Arkansas.
Are there remote strategic finance analyst jobs in Arkansas?
Yes, and more than most fields, since strategic finance analyst work is fundamentally analytical and desk-based. About 47% of strategic finance analyst openings tied to Arkansas are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how well the role translates to distributed work. FP&A modeling, reporting, and forecasting tasks are most commonly offered remotely, while roles requiring regular executive or board-level in-person presentation tend to stay on-site.
How can I get hired as a strategic finance analyst in Arkansas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a financial analyst or junior FP&A role at one of Arkansas's large anchor employers, where rotational finance programs and structured development tracks exist for new graduates. Walmart's finance function in Bentonville, Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Little Rock, and major regional banks offer associate-level roles that build the modeling and business partnering skills required at the strategic level. A CPA candidacy, a completed financial modeling course, or a strong internship with an Arkansas employer in retail, healthcare, or logistics meaningfully differentiates applicants without prior full-time experience.
Where can I find and apply to strategic finance analyst jobs in Arkansas?
You can find and apply to strategic finance analyst jobs in Arkansas on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across Little Rock, Bentonville, Fayetteville, and other Arkansas locations. Find roles that fit your experience and apply directly to the employer.
