How do I get a strategy job in Richmond?
Target Richmond's strongest hiring sectors: healthcare systems anchored in the Medical College of Virginia corridor, financial services firms downtown, and defense and government contractors clustered near the Virginia Capital region. Candidates who combine analytical rigor with familiarity with Richmond's mid-market and public-sector landscape stand out. A background in management consulting, corporate development, or business intelligence accelerates placement with the employers hiring most actively here.
Which companies hire strategys in Richmond?
Companies currently hiring strategys in Richmond include CarMax, Capital One, and Altria, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Richmond's mix of regional health systems, insurance carriers, and government-adjacent firms means strategy roles appear across both large institutions and mid-size organizations with dedicated planning teams.

About 82% of strategy openings tied to Richmond are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting broader flexibility in planning and business development functions. Richmond-based financial services and tech-adjacent firms lead local hybrid adoption.
How can I get a strategy job in Richmond with little or no experience?
