The Role

As Technician Supervisor, you’ll lead a team of in‑house technicians to complete same‑day and scheduled work with quality, safety, and courtesy. You’ll coach performance, run daily dispatch, coordinate materials and subs, and ensure every job is documented and ready for invoicing.

What You’ll Do

• Lead & coach technicians: Daily huddles, job assignment, route optimization, goal tracking, and one‑on‑ones.
• Dispatch & SLAs: Prioritize reactive tickets; hit response/arrival windows; push for same‑day completion when scope allows.
• Quality control: Review scopes, pre‑job checklists, and post‑job photos/notes; verify that work matches the approved scope and standards.
• Change orders: Assist techs with on‑site change orders; ensure submission within 15 minutes (or 24 hrs for off-site proposals) before proceeding beyond scope.
• Materials & logistics: Coordinate orders, same‑day pick‑ups at department/big‑box stores, and deliveries; manage van/warehouse stock; minimize returns and rework.
• Subcontractor coordination: When needed, schedule subs, confirm rate cards, and verify completion and documentation.
• Safety & compliance: Enforce job-site safety, ladder/roof access protocols, and permit/inspection requirements.
• Metrics & reporting: Track first‑visit completion, arrival punctuality, cycle time, gross profit, CSAT, and rework; aim to keep material waste at or below 2.5% target.
• Issue prevention: Anticipate risks; provide complete handoffs to next teams (scheduling, estimation, ordering, inspections, AR).

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)

• On‑time arrival: ≥ 95%
• First‑visit completion: ≥ 70% (ticket mix dependent)
• Same‑day completion (eligible tickets): measurable weekly increase
• Change‑order turnaround: 100% on time (15 minute on-site / 24h off-site)
• Documentation completeness: 100% (photos, notes, confirmations)
• Rework rate: < 2%
• CSAT: ≥ 4.7/5 average
• Contact policy adherence: 100% (attempts, escalations, closures)

What You Bring

Must‑Haves

• 3+ years leading field technicians in residential maintenance, restoration, facilities, or related trades
• Scheduling/dispatch expertise and calm decision‑making under time pressure
• Working knowledge across multiple trades (carpentry, drywall/paint, light plumbing/electrical; roofing helpful)
• Strong documentation standards (photos, notes, scopes) and customer communication
• Tech‑savvy with Google Sheets/Docs and work‑order/CRM systems
• Valid driver’s license, clean record; able to lift/carry tools/materials as needed

Nice‑to‑Haves

• Experience with property‑management portals
• OSHA‑10/30 or equivalent safety training
• Bilingual (Spanish/English)
• Basic Xactimate familiarity for change‑order support

Schedule

• Monday–Friday business hours with occasional early starts; rotating on‑call for urgent issues (edit as applicable)
