We are looking for a skilled and highly motivated Supply Chain Manager to join our direct procurement team, supporting Battery Raw Materials.
As a member of our Supply Chain Organization, the SCM will perform various tasks related to the development, implementation and management of strategies to provide Tesla with optimal supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality and delivery performance.
Tesla is a fast-moving, dynamic environment where flexibility and adaptability are key attributes needed for success. A successful candidate will be a self-starter; motivated with overall business knowledge and a solid understanding of sourcing concepts.
What You'll Do
- Own the commercial strategy and execution of the Cobalt & Manganese supply chain, including identifying partners, negotiating deals, operationalizing contracts, and maintaining continuity of supply
- Drive collaboration and strategic alignment with Legal, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and other internal groups
- Prepare and present business plans, market conditions, cost models, and policy risks
- Monitor relevant industry trends/news and supplier performance to identify opportunities and mitigate potential risks
- Manage ongoing supplier relationships and performance
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Economics, Engineering, and/or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability
- Experience in commodity management, procurement, sourcing, supply chain management, engineering, or manufacturing environment preferred
- Detail orientation and strong analytical skills for data analysis and cost evaluation
- Self-motivated and highly organized to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Knowledge and understanding of commodities / metals preferred
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
