ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position plans, directs, and coordinates activities of self and one direct report to support the surveying needs of heavy construction projects.
- Conducts all work in accordance with company policies, procedures, and programs under the direction of the Survey Manager.
- Demonstrates experience in construction site/heavy civil layout.
- Managing a crew and fulfilling schedule obligations.
- Participates as required with the in-house pre-construction planning procedure and development of the project schedule and meets with the owner or the owner representative.
- Learns all the details of the plans and specifications of the project assigned. Partner with project team supervision to prioritize tasks.
- Aggressively seeks out opportunities to increase the AAM survey function with value-adding activities.
- Coordinate with Operations on the projects needs for equipment and labor.
- Ensures customer satisfaction in all Customer and Inspector relations and interactions.
- Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalency (GED) required; additional construction-related course work desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of survey experience in a heavy civil construction environment.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Terramodel, Trimble Business Center and Trimble GPS experience a must.
