- Provide 24x7/365 remote support services and on-premises response as needed.
- Utilize IBM’s SMP/E software products installation and maintenance utility process.
- Utilize IBM’s Job Control Language (JCL) and utility programs (i.e. IEBGENER) to maintain z/OS software products.
- Utilize IBM’s file structure(s): (i.e. HFS, ZFS, and PDS’s), TSO ISPF panels, IBM’s SDSF and/or equivalent ISV product, and IBM data storage product DFSMS.
- Technical consulting and analysis of new technologies, implementation strategy, and impact to production.
- Independently diagnose and resolve trouble calls in technical areas.
- Develop and implement technical documentation and technical specifications, in accordance with established requirements and schedules.
- Review proposed policy, regulations, and procedural changes to determine impact on area of responsibility.
- Develop on-the-job training (OJT) programs on new developments in technology and software packages.
- Participate in Agile project management and a DevSecOps culture as required.
- As a requirement of this position, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen. In accordance with 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(2)(C), Epsilon will not consider candidates for this position who do not meet the aforementioned conditions.
- Proven System programmer experience managing, maintaining, and configuring Virtual Telecommunications Access Method (VTAM) and application programming interface (API) as part of the Systems Network Architecture (SNA) for an IBM mainframe environment.
- Demonstrated System programmer experience managing and maintaining and configuring of TCP/IP.
- Experience and comfort with change and ambiguity given the ever-changing nature of the business.
- Experience working with z/OS Systems (z/OS 2.4), Pageant encryption setup and configuration.
- Experience with SSH, TLS, SFTP, FTP network communication protocols.
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems (preferred) or related field.
- As a subject matter expert, participate in meetings with Information Assurance to share information to assist in documentation of security controls.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate with key stakeholders, process owners, and customers to manage expectations, eliminate gaps, and ensure success.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have experience using the following software suites, IBM’s Multi-Factor Authentication, CL/SuperSession or other multi-session product, IODF, BMC Control-M
- Must be able to pass federal background investigation and obtain a Public Trust
- Prolonged periods of computer desk work.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and other computer components.
- Speaking and hearing are sufficient to converse and understand conversations, both in-person, telephone, and virtual meetings.
- The cognitive skills needed to complete tasks, including abilities such as learning, remembering, focusing, categorizing, and integrating information for decision-making, problem-solving, and comprehending.
- Ability to learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, and the ability to communicate with managers and co-workers.
- Mental aptitude to respond appropriately in high-pressure situations or deadline-driven environments.
- Maintain a professional emotional response when working with others.
