Who's Hiring

Talent Specialist Jobs in Houston: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a talent specialist job in Houston?
The clearest path is targeting Houston's dominant hiring sectors: energy companies along the Energy Corridor, health systems concentrated in the Texas Medical Center, and professional services firms in the Galleria and Downtown districts. Candidates with experience in high-volume recruiting or technical sourcing stand out here. Building relationships with Houston-based staffing agencies and attending local HR professional events also gives you a meaningful edge in this market.
Which companies hire talent specialists in Houston?
Employers hiring talent specialists in Houston right now include Michels, Pro-Vac, and RoviSys, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Houston's market includes a mix of large energy corporations, major health systems, engineering firms, and regional staffing organizations, all of which maintain active in-house talent acquisition teams.
Are there remote talent specialist jobs in Houston?
Yes, though availability depends on the role. Talent specialist work tied to sourcing, coordination, and candidate screening is more remote-friendly, while positions requiring on-site presence for interviews or onboarding are typically in-person. About 41% of talent specialist openings tied to Houston are remote or hybrid as of September 2026. Corporate and tech-adjacent employers in Houston tend to offer the most flexible arrangements.
How can I get a talent specialist job in Houston with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is a recruiting coordinator or HR assistant role, both of which are common at Houston's large health systems like Houston Methodist and Memorial Hermann, and at staffing firms throughout the Greenway Plaza and Westchase corridors. Volunteer HR work, internships through local universities, or lateral moves from administrative or customer-facing roles can also open the door. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and strong communication skills carry real weight with Houston hiring managers.
