Mount Sopris Instrument Company is a leading manufacturer of borehole geophysical logging systems for groundwater, mining, geotechnical and other applications. We are seeking a Logging Technician to play a pivotal role in quality assurance and control for both new equipment and used rentals being returned. Effective communication will be key as you interact with customers via phone and email, ensuring their queries are addressed promptly and interacting with our production staff. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity for technical training on our equipment, enhancing your ability to provide top-notch support to our valued clientele.

Mount Sopris is a small company of about 25 people, which means we can be more flexible than a large corporate structure and there will always be opportunities to learn and advance your skills. This position is Monday through Friday with a 40-hour work week, no weekends or mandatory overtime.

Duties:

• Test new, repaired and rental tools in our on-site borehole.
• Check-in and process rental returns.
• Receive incoming rentals into inventory management database.
• Test outgoing rentals for proper operation.
• Help manage activities throughout the rental order and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines and customer expectations are met.
• Communicate effectively with other internal departments regarding the status of rentals, production and repairs.
• Responsible for keeping the production logging zone and rental work area clean and organized.
• Inspect final production assemblies being tested to ensure they meet quality standards to ensure meet production standards and filing digital recorded information on products before being released to shipping.

Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations.
• Ability to utilize small hand tools such as Allen wrenches
• Proficiency in basic computer skills such as Word, Excel, email and internet research.
• Excellent communication skills written and oral.
• Capacity for decision making prioritization and continuous improvement
• Occasional lifting required, 30 lbs.

Our office hours are Monday through Fridays 8:00 am MST ‐ 4:30 pm. MST.

This position will not be available for remote work.
