LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION / REGISTRATION
Required Credential(s):
- Registered Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration.
- One or more of the following:
- Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration. Non-certified incumbents hired prior to 4/30/18 are grandfathered and not required to hold certification.
- Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration. Non-certified incumbents hired prior to 4/30/18 are grandfathered and not required to hold certification.
Education
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
