Entry Level Technician Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level technician job?
Employers hiring entry level technicians look for hands-on exposure over work history, so internships, vocational training, lab coursework, or a personal project portfolio all strengthen your application. Certifications relevant to your specialty, such as CompTIA A+ for IT technicians or OSHA safety credentials for field roles, signal readiness. Applying to roles that explicitly list zero to two years of experience keeps you in the right candidate pool.
Which companies hire entry level technicians?
Companies hiring entry level technicians right now include CVS Health, Walgreens, and Fresenius Medical Care, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a mix of employers, including large corporations with structured training programs, regional service companies, manufacturers, and healthcare facilities that build their technical staff from the ground up.
Are there remote entry level technician jobs?
Yes, though most technician roles at this level are on-site or field-based by nature. About 0% of entry level technician openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with those positions concentrated in IT support, technical customer service, and software QA testing rather than hands-on hardware or facilities work.
Are these new grad technician jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior technician roles. A posting is typically new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internships or co-op work in place of full-time history, or lists a degree or certification as sufficient qualification. If a role mentions training provided or entry level in the title, it is generally suited to candidates starting out.
Which industries hire the most entry level technicians?
Entry Level technician roles concentrate in Insurance, Retail, and Healthcare & Medical Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they have ongoing demand for trained support staff, operate large physical or technical infrastructures, and typically offer structured onboarding that makes them well suited to candidates building their first years of experience.
