Job Overview
Holistic Wellness & Psychiatry is seeking an independently licensed Iowa therapist to join our multidisciplinary mental-health practice in Cedar Rapids. This position is ideal for a therapist who enjoys meaningful, relationship-oriented clinical work and wants to collaborate closely with psychiatry, nursing, therapy, SPRAVATO®, IV-ketamine, and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy teams.
For clinicians interested in psychedelic-assisted therapy, HWP offers a structured pathway into:
- Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy
- KAP preparation and integration
- Trauma-focused and relationship-oriented KAP
- Couples or group programming as services develop
Prior KAP experience is welcome but not required. Training, competency, and clinical readiness must be established before independently providing KAP services.
What You’ll Do
- Provide individual psychotherapy using a thoughtful, trauma-informed, and relationship-centered approach
- Complete diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other required documentation accurately and promptly
- Maintain an appropriate follow-up plan and help patients remain connected to care
- Collaborate with psychiatric prescribers, therapists, nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff
- Participate in coordinated treatment planning for patients with complex or treatment-resistant conditions
- Provide KAP preparation and integration services after appropriate orientation and training
- Participate in medicine-assisted KAP sessions after competency, role, and clinical-readiness requirements are met
- Identify appropriate internal referrals for psychiatry, therapy, SPRAVATO, IV ketamine, KAP, Functional Medicine, or Medical Weight Management
- Participate in required clinical meetings, case consultation, supervision or peer consultation, and training
- Communicate clearly with patients about treatment goals, recommendations, follow-up, and next steps
- Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and compliance with clinical, payer, documentation, and privacy requirements
- Contribute to the development of groups, intensives, couples services, or specialty programs when mutually appropriate
Required Qualifications
Applicants must have an active, unrestricted Iowa license as one of the following:
- LISW
- LMHC
- LMFT
- Licensed psychologist, PhD or PsyD
