Therapist Jobs in Dallas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a therapist job in Dallas?
Target Dallas's dense healthcare corridor anchored by the Medical District and the large hospital systems in Uptown and Oak Cliff, which hire therapists across inpatient, outpatient, and specialty behavioral health programs. Community mental health centers and school-based programs across DISD are also active employers. Candidates who hold a Texas license and have experience in trauma-informed care or bilingual Spanish services have a clear edge in this market.
Which companies hire therapists in Dallas?
Employers hiring therapists in Dallas right now include ATI Physical Therapy, MedDivine Health, and Medical City Healthcare, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Dallas draws a mix of large regional health systems, private group practices, and nonprofit behavioral health organizations that together sustain consistent year-round demand for licensed therapists.
Are there remote therapist jobs in Dallas?
Yes, though remote work is less common for therapists than for desk-based roles because most positions involve direct client care in clinical or community settings. About 11% of therapist openings tied to Dallas are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, concentrated mainly in telehealth platforms and employee assistance program roles rather than traditional clinical positions.
How can I get a therapist job in Dallas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Dallas is through internship-to-hire pipelines at community mental health centers, school-based programs within Dallas ISD, and large outpatient behavioral health groups that regularly onboard newly licensed or pre-licensed candidates under supervision. Entry-level case manager and mental health technician roles at area hospitals and nonprofits also open the door. Bilingual Spanish fluency and familiarity with trauma-informed or CBT frameworks stand out to Dallas hiring managers.
Which industries hire the most therapists in Dallas?
Dallas therapist roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Dallas's large hospital networks, expanding telehealth sector, and well-funded nonprofit behavioral health infrastructure collectively drive consistent therapist hiring across the metro.
