We are small and growing quickly, and we are looking for an Enrolled Agent who takes pride in getting the details right and is comfortable advising business owners directly.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review individual and business returns (1040, 1120S, 1065 and 1120) prepared by our team, and make sure every return meets our standard before it is filed
- Give clear, specific feedback to preparers so the same issue does not come back
- Prepare more complex returns when needed
- Lead advisory and planning calls with business owners, explaining strategy in plain language and following through on next steps
- Keep your work and notes current in TaxDome, so the whole team knows where every return stands
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Enrolled Agent credential, required
- Three or more years of tax experience, with real review experience
- A strong command of S corporation and partnership returns, including K-1s, separately stated items, shareholder and partner basis, and reasonable compensation
- Experience leading client advisory or tax planning calls, and clear communication in writing and on the phone
- Ownership and follow through: you close the loop without being chased
- Experience with UltraTax CS or Drake strongly preferred; TaxDome experience is a plus
COMPENSATION
- Salary: $80,000 to $90,000, depending on experience, plus eligibility for quarterly performance bonuses
- Remote or in office in St. George
- Flexible time off
