INTRODUCTION
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
Salesforce is hiring an AI & Data Integration Specialist to join our Global Public Sector Solution Engineering team. The AI revolution is a data evolution, and this critical role sits at the forefront of making agentic AI a reality for our customers.
As a specialist, you are more than a technical expert—you are a strategic architectural partner who consolidates expertise across MuleSoft (Integration), Tableau (Analytics), Data Cloud (Unified Data Management), and agentic AI to solve complex data and AI challenges.
You will serve as the single point of contact for sales teams, ensuring every data and AI opportunity is handled by a specialist who thinks like an architect, draws on prior hands-on delivery experience, and communicates outcomes and impacts in the voice of the business user and mission owner. You will be a vital contributor to the success of our agency customers by conducting holistic discovery, reframing the “data-to-agentic-AI journey,” and designing compliant, AI-ready architectures that deliver actionable insights from disparate silos while enabling intelligent, autonomous agents.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between legacy system connectivity and modern mission outcomes, acting as a trusted advisor who can navigate everything from API management and real-time data unification to advanced analytics and the deployment strategy for intelligent agentic systems.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
What you get working for the AI & Data Integration SE Team:
- A Unified Mission: Work in a specialized team that eliminates fragmented resource requests by owning the entire data-to-AI lifecycle.
- Outcome-First Leadership: Opportunities to lead high-impact discovery sessions that start with agency mission outcomes (e.g., operational readiness, intelligence fusion, logistics modernization) rather than product features.
- Strategic Growth: Support from leaders committed to your mastery of the “Data 360 + Agentic AI” vision, including integration, analytics, unified data management, and intelligent agentic capabilities.
- Innovation at Scale: Work for the #1 AI CRM company, building the trusted data foundations and agentic architectures required for the next generation of autonomous AI agents that accelerate outcomes.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications you’ll need to be successful:
- Architectural Mindset: Design secure, composable architectures that scale within highly regulated Public Sector environments (including FedRAMP High and Impact Level 4/5/6).
- Multi-Platform Technical Depth: Previous hands-on experience or deep conceptual knowledge across Integration (MuleSoft), Data Analytics (Tableau), Unified Data Management (Data Cloud), and agentic AI platforms. A qualified candidate will have expertise in no less than two of the core data/integration capabilities plus demonstrated prior experience with agentic AI; a great candidate will have exposure across all.
- Agentic AI Experience: Demonstrated experience (2+ years is highly valued) with agentic AI solutions, including prior hands-on work designing or deploying intelligent agents, LLM integration strategies, orchestration frameworks, prompt engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns.
- Strategic Communication: Excellent ability to reframe technical challenges into mission and business value for C-level government executives and technical stakeholders alike.
- AI Readiness: Deep understanding of “Trusted Context Foundations” for AI, including data grounding, metadata intelligence, and how unified data enables reliable agentic workflows.
- Collaboration & Influence: Proven ability to partner early with Account Executives to drive sales strategy and lead “Data + Agentic AI Discovery” from day one.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Solution Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, or Digital Transformation, with previous hands-on delivery experience in AI/data/integration projects.
- Technical Foundations: Degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent; prior experience with APIs, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), and modern development practices is preferred.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Certifications: One or more of the following: MuleSoft Certified Architect, Tableau Desktop/Server Specialist, Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant, AI Associate credentials, or equivalent.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of Public Sector/DoD compliance (FedRAMP/IL5/6) and common government data silos.
- Ecosystem Expertise: Familiarity with advanced data governance and MDM tools, plus prior exposure to agentic AI frameworks or orchestration patterns in past implementations.
- Regulated Industry Experience: Background delivering AI solutions in highly regulated or mission-critical environments.
WHAT YOU’LL ACHIEVE
3 months:
- Master the Stack: Complete intensive “Astro” courses and certification paths for MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, Data Cloud, Tableau, and agentic AI capabilities.
- Build Your Point of View: Align with the GTM Plan and begin building your “Data-to-Agentic AI Journey” whiteboarding and workshop skills.
- Shadow & Learn: Join active Public Sector engagements to observe how the specialist leads discovery and architects multi-product AI + data solutions.
12 months:
- Own the Technical Win: Serve as the lead architect on complex, multi-cloud data and agentic AI opportunities, delivering higher win rates and faster deal cycles.
- Evangelize the Vision: Execute high-impact architectural workshops and “Stand & Deliver” sessions that showcase the power of unified data as the foundation for trustworthy intelligent agents.
- Enable the Ecosystem: Mentor account teams and partners on how to position “Data + Integration + Agentic AI” as the foundation for mission transformation.
- Drive Mission Outcomes: Successfully architect solutions that unify citizen/operational data, modernize legacy systems, enable real-time analytics, and deploy agentic AI capabilities that accelerate decision-making and operational excellence.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Data Integration Specialist
Align your credentials to Computer Systems Analyst
TN classification for this role falls under Computer Systems Analyst, not a generic tech category. Your degree, transcripts, and any professional certifications should explicitly connect to systems analysis, data architecture, or integration engineering before you start applying.
Target employers with active data infrastructure projects
Companies mid-migration to cloud data warehouses or consolidating acquisitions' systems need integration specialists urgently and are far more likely to move quickly on TN sponsorship than employers hiring to backfill stable roles.
Request a support letter covering integration duties specifically
Generic offer letters cause TN denials at the border. Ask your employer to describe ETL workflows, API orchestration, or data pipeline responsibilities by name. CBP officers assess the job duties against the Computer Systems Analyst definition, not your job title alone.
Verify E-Verify enrollment before accepting an offer
If your role involves federal contract work, your employer must be enrolled in E-Verify. Confirm enrollment status through the E-Verify employer search before you proceed with your TN application, since unenrolled employers on federal contracts create post-hire compliance issues.
Use Migrate Mate to filter for confirmed TN-sponsoring employers
Sorting through job postings manually to find genuine TN sponsorship is slow and unreliable. Migrate Mate surfaces Data Integration Specialist roles from employers with documented visa sponsorship history, so you spend time applying instead of vetting.
Prepare for a same-day decision as a Canadian applicant
Canadian citizens can apply for TN status directly at a U.S. land border or preclearance airport with your offer letter, credentials, and a completed USMCA TN application. CBP adjudicates on the spot, so arriving with a complete, organized package eliminates unnecessary delays.

Find Data Integration Specialist JobsData Integration Specialist TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Data Integration Specialist role qualify for TN visa status?
Yes, provided the duties map to the Computer Systems Analyst category defined under the USMCA. Roles involving ETL pipeline design, data warehouse integration, API connectivity, or cross-platform migration typically qualify. The job title itself carries no weight; CBP evaluates the actual responsibilities described in your employer's support letter against the category definition.
How does TN compare to H-1B for Data Integration Specialist positions?
TN has no annual lottery, no cap for Canadians, and no employer petition filed with USCIS before you start work. H-1B requires winning a lottery with roughly a 25% selection rate and a six-month wait before the October 1 start date. For a qualified Canadian or Mexican data integration professional with a U.S. job offer, TN is nearly always faster and procedurally simpler.
What documents does my employer need to provide for TN sponsorship?
Your employer must provide a signed support letter on company letterhead that states your job title, a description of your integration duties, the period of employment, and your qualifications. The letter should reference the Computer Systems Analyst USMCA category explicitly. Vague or title-only letters are the leading cause of TN denials for tech professionals at the border.
Can I find Data Integration Specialist roles with TN sponsorship on Migrate Mate?
Yes. Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals seeking TN-eligible positions and filters for employers with active visa sponsorship history. You can search Data Integration Specialist roles without sorting through postings from employers who don't sponsor, which is the most common frustration for TN applicants navigating general job boards.
What happens if my TN status is denied at the border?
A denial at a land border or airport preclearance does not trigger a formal removal order; you simply return to Canada or Mexico and can reapply with corrected documentation. CBP officers are required to explain the basis for the denial. The most common fixable causes are insufficient duty descriptions in the support letter or a mismatch between your degree field and the systems analysis work described.
