Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as an EHS Manager
Align your credentials to the TN classification
TN status for EHS Managers typically requires a degree in environmental science, occupational health, safety engineering, or a closely related field. A general management or business degree alone won't satisfy the classification, even with years of EHS experience.
Target industries with mandatory EHS programs
Manufacturing, oil and gas, construction, and chemical processing employers are federally required to maintain EHS programs under OSHA and EPA regulations, making them far more likely to have established TN sponsorship workflows than smaller or service-sector employers.
Verify the employer's offer letter covers TN requirements
The offer letter must state your specific job title, your proffered duties, the TN category being claimed, and that employment is temporary. Missing any element can cause a CBP officer to deny entry, even with strong credentials.
Search for EHS Manager roles using Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters job listings by TN visa sponsorship availability, so you can focus on EHS Manager openings where employers are already prepared to support the classification rather than spending time educating hiring teams from scratch.
Anticipate OSHA recordkeeping questions during interviews
U.S. employers sponsoring TN workers in EHS roles will probe your familiarity with OSHA 300 logs, incident rate calculations, and EPA reporting obligations. Frame your Canadian or Mexican regulatory experience in direct parallel to these U.S. requirements.
Plan your renewal timeline around annual program cycles
TN status is granted in up to three-year increments with unlimited renewals. EHS roles tied to annual audit cycles, fiscal year budgets, or OSHA compliance calendars make timing your renewal conversation with your employer before renewal windows close straightforward.

Find EHS Manager JobsEHS Manager TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does an EHS Manager role actually qualify for TN visa status?
It depends on how the role is classified and your degree. EHS Managers typically qualify under the engineer or scientific technician category, but only if your bachelor's degree is in a relevant field like environmental science, occupational health, or safety engineering. A general business or management degree without a technical foundation will not satisfy CBP's requirements, even if you've held EHS titles for years.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for EHS Manager positions?
TN is significantly more accessible for EHS Managers. There's no annual lottery, no cap for Canadian citizens, and employers can sponsor you without filing with USCIS in advance. H-1B requires a registration lottery, a lengthy petition process, and filing fees that can run into the thousands. For Canadian professionals especially, a qualified job offer and proper documentation is often enough to begin work within days of a border crossing.
What documentation does my employer need to prepare for TN sponsorship?
Your employer needs to provide a detailed support letter on company letterhead that specifies your job title, the TN classification being claimed, a description of your duties, the temporary nature of the position, and your start date. Canadian citizens present this at the port of entry without a prior USCIS filing. Mexican citizens must use this letter as part of a consular visa application at a U.S. embassy or consulate.
Where can I find EHS Manager jobs where employers are already prepared to sponsor TN visas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals seeking TN visa sponsorship. Instead of applying to every EHS Manager posting and then discovering the employer won't support TN, Migrate Mate surfaces roles where sponsorship is already confirmed, so your applications go to employers who understand the classification and are ready to provide the necessary documentation.
Can I switch EHS Manager employers while on TN status?
Yes, but you cannot begin working for the new employer until your TN status is updated to reflect them. Canadian citizens can typically handle this at a port of entry with the new employer's support letter. Mexican citizens need to apply for a new TN visa at a consulate. Starting work before your new TN is processed, even if your previous status was valid, puts you out of status.
