Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as an Experience Manager
Align your degree to management consulting
TN visa status for Experience Managers typically files under Management Consultant. Your degree in hospitality, business, or a related field must connect directly to the role's scope. A mismatch here is the most common reason CBP officers push back at the border.
Request a support letter from your employer
Your employer's TN support letter must describe your Experience Manager duties in consultant-level terms, not operational language. Phrases like 'advising on customer journey strategy' carry more weight than 'managing front-of-house staff' when CBP reviews your classification.
Target employers with cross-border operations
Companies with Canadian or Mexican parent entities are familiar with TN workflows and less likely to confuse your status with H-1B visa requirements. Hospitality groups, retail chains, and event firms operating across USMCA borders are practical starting points.
Search for TN-ready roles using Migrate Mate
Filter by TN visa sponsorship and Experience Manager titles on Migrate Mate to surface employers who have already signaled openness to USMCA-based hiring. This cuts the time spent explaining TN eligibility to recruiters unfamiliar with the category.
Prepare for port-of-entry questions as a Canadian
Canadian citizens apply directly at the U.S. border, so CBP adjudicates your TN on the spot. Bring your degree credential, the employer support letter, and any documentation showing the strategic rather than supervisory nature of your Experience Manager role.
Understand the Mexican consular appointment process
Mexican citizens must obtain TN status through a U.S. consulate, which adds scheduling time to your timeline. Book your appointment as soon as your employer finalizes the support letter. Processing delays at the consulate are the most common bottleneck for Mexican applicants.
Experience Manager TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does an Experience Manager role qualify for TN visa status?
Experience Manager positions can qualify under the TN Management Consultant category when the role involves advising on or designing client or guest experience programs at a strategic level. Purely supervisory or operational roles that lack a consulting or advisory component are more likely to face scrutiny from CBP or a consular officer, so how your employer frames the duties in the support letter matters significantly.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for Experience Manager roles?
TN has no annual lottery and no cap for Canadian citizens, so you can start working as soon as CBP approves you at the border. H-1B requires entering a lottery with roughly a one-in-four selection rate, then waiting until October 1 of the fiscal year. For Mexican citizens, TN involves a consular appointment rather than a lottery, still making it faster and more predictable than H-1B for most applicants.
What documents does an employer need to provide for TN sponsorship?
Your employer must provide a signed support letter on company letterhead that specifies your job title, duties framed in consulting or advisory terms, the anticipated length of employment, and your educational qualifications. Canadian citizens present this letter directly at the U.S. border or port of entry—no advance government filing is needed. Mexican citizens submit the same letter with their application at a U.S. consulate. The TN visa process does not involve prevailing wage determinations or government labor certification.
How can I find Experience Manager jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for TN visa sponsorship by job title, so you can identify Experience Manager openings where the employer has already indicated willingness to support USMCA-based candidates. This avoids the common situation where you reach the offer stage only to learn the company's legal team has no familiarity with TN and is unwilling to navigate it.
Can I change employers while on TN status as an Experience Manager?
Yes, but your TN authorization is employer-specific. When you accept a new offer, you need a new TN approval before you begin work with the new company. Canadian citizens can seek a new TN at a port of entry. Mexican citizens must return to a U.S. consulate. There is no portability provision under TN the way H-1B portability works under AC21, so timing your transition carefully is essential.
