Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Security Product Manager
Frame your resume around systems analysis
TN approval for this role hinges on the Computer Systems Analyst category. Rewrite your experience to emphasize requirements gathering, technical specifications, and systems integration work rather than generic product ownership or stakeholder management.
Target employers with active security product lines
Focus your search on companies building security software, endpoint protection, or identity management products. These employers already understand technical visa categories and are far more likely to connect product management duties to a qualifying TN occupation.
Get your offer letter language right before filing
The offer letter must describe your duties in systems analyst terms: defining technical requirements, analyzing user workflows, and specifying integration protocols. Vague language like 'drive product strategy' is the most common reason CBP officers push back on Security Product Manager TN applications.
Use Migrate Mate to find TN-sponsoring employers
Search Migrate Mate to identify companies actively sponsoring TN visas for product and technical roles. This saves you from pitching employers unfamiliar with the process and puts you in front of hiring managers who already know how to support a TN filing.
Prepare a credential evaluation if your degree is non-U.S.
CBP officers verify that your bachelor's degree relates to computer systems or a directly relevant technical field. If your degree was earned outside the U.S. or Canada, obtain a credential equivalency evaluation from a NACES-member evaluator before your port-of-entry or consular appointment.
Understand that employer E-Verify status affects your timeline
If your new employer is E-Verify enrolled, your employment authorization is confirmed electronically on day one. If they aren't enrolled, confirm they understand Form I-9 completion requirements for TN holders so your start date isn't delayed by onboarding compliance gaps.

Find Security Product Manager JobsSecurity Product Manager TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Security Product Manager qualify for a TN visa?
Yes, but the classification depends on how your duties are framed. CBP adjudicates Security Product Manager roles under the Computer Systems Analyst TN category, which requires your work to center on technical systems analysis, requirements definition, and integration planning. Roles focused primarily on business strategy or revenue ownership are harder to qualify without strong technical framing in your offer letter and job description.
How does TN compare to H-1B for Security Product Manager roles?
TN is faster and simpler for Canadians: you apply at the port of entry and get a decision the same day with no lottery, no cap, and no USCIS petition. H-1B requires entering an annual lottery with roughly a 25% selection rate and a multi-month processing timeline. For Mexican citizens, TN has a 5,500 annual cap but still avoids the H-1B lottery entirely, making it a more predictable path for this role.
Where can I find Security Product Manager jobs with TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the recommended platform for finding Security Product Manager roles where employers are prepared to support TN sponsorship. General job boards list openings without indicating whether the employer understands or will facilitate a TN filing, which means you often find out late in the process. Migrate Mate surfaces roles specifically connected to visa sponsorship so you can prioritize employers already set up to move quickly.
Can I switch from H-1B to TN status as a Security Product Manager?
Yes. If you're a Canadian or Mexican citizen currently on H-1B and you accept a new Security Product Manager offer, you can change to TN status. Canadians can do this at the port of entry without filing with USCIS. Mexican citizens need to apply at a U.S. consulate for a TN visa stamp. Make sure your new role's duties are documented in systems analyst terms before making the switch.
What documents does my employer need to provide for my TN application?
Your employer must provide a signed support letter on company letterhead that specifies your job title as Computer Systems Analyst or equivalent, describes your duties in technical terms, states the duration of employment, and confirms your salary. CBP officers at the port of entry review this letter closely. Vague or business-focused language is the primary cause of TN denials for product management roles, so the letter's technical specificity matters as much as your credentials.
