Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as an Account Project Manager
Align your degree to the role
TN approval depends on a clear match between your degree field and Account Project Manager duties. A business, marketing, or management degree strengthens your case. A mismatch in field, even with years of experience, can trigger a denial at the port of entry.
Document client-facing project scope explicitly
Employers often write generic offer letters. Request language that describes your consulting or advisory function, client deliverables, and cross-functional coordination. CBP officers evaluate the letter against TN Management Consultant criteria, so vague titles create unnecessary risk.
Target employers with recent visa filings
Search Migrate Mate to identify companies with recent visa filings that are experienced with work visa sponsorship for management or consulting roles. These employers have demonstrated familiarity with visa processes and are more likely to be responsive to TN visa requests at the port of entry or consulate.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsoring employers
Filtering job postings by visa sponsorship willingness saves weeks of outreach. Migrate Mate surfaces Account Project Manager roles from employers open to TN sponsorship, so you spend time on applications that actually lead somewhere rather than screening manually.
Prepare a support letter for Canadian border crossings
Canadians don't need a visa stamp, but a well-structured employer support letter and your credential documents must be ready before you approach the port of entry. CBP processes TN applications same-day, but missing documents restart the process entirely.
Confirm your employer's I-9 compliance before your start date
TN status must be reflected correctly in your employer's I-9 and E-Verify records from day one. Confirm with HR that your List A document combination and TN notation are entered accurately to avoid status discrepancies that complicate future renewals.

Find Account Project Manager JobsAccount Project Manager TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does an Account Project Manager role qualify for TN visa sponsorship?
Yes, Account Project Manager roles typically qualify under the TN Management Consultant category, provided your duties involve advisory or consultative functions for clients rather than purely internal project coordination. Your employer's offer letter must describe client-facing scope, cross-functional leadership, and deliverable accountability to satisfy CBP's review criteria at the port of entry or consulate.
How does TN compare to H-1B for Account Project Manager roles?
TN has no lottery and no annual cap for Canadians, making it far more predictable for Account Project Managers than H-1B, which requires surviving a randomized selection each spring. TN is also renewable indefinitely in three-year increments. The trade-off is that TN doesn't allow dual intent, so it isn't a direct path to a green card the way H-1B can be.
Where can I find Account Project Manager jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals seeking U.S. roles with TN sponsorship. Rather than filtering through general job boards manually, you can search by role type and sponsorship status, which surfaces employers already open to TN candidates for Account Project Manager positions.
Can a Mexican citizen get TN sponsorship for an Account Project Manager position?
Yes, Mexican citizens are eligible for TN status under USMCA for Account Project Manager roles that meet the Management Consultant criteria. Unlike Canadians, Mexican nationals must apply at a U.S. consulate and receive a TN visa stamp before entering. The same degree-to-role alignment and offer letter requirements apply regardless of nationality.
What happens to my TN status if my employer changes my job title or duties?
A material change in job title or core duties technically requires a new TN approval, since your original status was granted for a specific role description. If your employer restructures your position away from client-facing management consulting functions, you and your employer should consult an immigration professional before the change takes effect to avoid a status violation.
